Length:

Existing Situation

The roads through Newark Industrial Estate are 30mph with double

yellow lines to prevent on street parking.

There are no existing formal cycling facilities along Brunel Drive,

Jessop Close and Carrerata Way but this route is used by cyclists

accessing the industrial estate from Lincoln Road.

Route used by HGV's·Proposal

The proposal is to provide cycle signage to reinforce the link between

Lincoln Road and Beacon Hill Road and to connect into the wider

network of cycle routes in Newark.

Constraints

Pedestrian section connecting Jessop Close and Cafferata Way has

several right angle turns.

·

· Potential conflict between pedestrian/cyclist.

· Vegetation in adjacent sites overhangs footway reducing effective width,

requires trimming back.
