The shipyard was founded in 2011 with the aim of achieving real sailboats. Sporty bluewater cruisers, the Italia Yachts fill the gap between the Mediterranean high performance boats and the more traditional nordic cruisers.

The Italia Yachts hulls design provide outstanding performance while maintaining a safe and marine behaviour, deck plans offer good protection without sacrificing the outdoor life and interiors offer solutions for long cruises.

The boats are designed with a cool and sophisticated style, strictly Made in Italy, which has already earned them the winning of various awards.

Il cantiere nasce nel 2011 con lo scopo di realizzare vere barche a vela. “Bluewater” sportivi, i modelli Italia Yachts colmano il gap tra le performanti barche mediterranee e i più tradizionali cruiser nordici.

– Designed from sailors, for sailors

With a displacement of just 4.500 kg, Italia 10.98 limits its weight to the typical values of racing boats; this ambitious achievement is the result of a careful optimization of each part of the boat structure.

Hull and deck are laminated in sandwich at a controlled temperature, with differentiated density PVC cores. For the construction, unidirectional, biaxial and triaxial E-fiberglass plies are laminated with vinylester resins, with a technique that makes the hull physically osmosis proof. The bottom frame with carbon fibre reinforcements is laminated on a female mould and then glued and laminated to the hull bottom.

Il dislocamento di appena 4.500 Kg di Italia 10.98 è paragonabile a quello di una barca da regata. Attente scelte progettuali le conferiscono massima rigidità strutturale, unitamente ad un’estrema leggerezza.

Scafo e coperta vengono laminati a temperatura controllata in sandwich, con anime in PVC a densità differenziata impregnate con resina vinilestere, per rendere lo scafo praticamente inattaccabile da fenomeni di osmosi. Un ragno scatolare con rinforzi in carbonio è laminato su stampo femmina sul fondo dello scafo e poi incollato e fazzolettato.

– Very fast, agile and safe

Fast and easy to handle, even when conduced by a reduced crew. You can go sailing and have fun with Italia 10.98 also with light winds, thanks to the extreme lightness of the boat and the performing waterlines. The boat remains easy to handle and safe also in strong winds, thanks to the not extreme sail plan. Everything onboard is where we expect it to be. In daily use, as in regatta, the deck equipment is designed to ensure safety use without tampering crew movements.

Italia 10.98 is a cruising boat, which is able to achieve great results also in IRC and ORCi competitions.

Veloce e facile da condurre, anche con equipaggio ridotto, con Italia 10.98 si va a vela e ci si diverte anche con vento debole, grazie all’estrema leggerezza della barca e alle linee d’acqua performanti.

Ogni manovra a bordo scorre efficacemente senza intralciare i movimenti dell’equipaggio e garantendo sicurezza nell’utilizzo, restando molto maneggevole anche in condizioni di vento sostenuto, grazie al piano velico non estremo.

Italia 10.98 è una barca da crociera, con tutto quel che serve per andare forte in regata e come poche altre sa “cambiare la pelle” in funzione dell’utilizzo.

– Cruise at its best

Italia 10.98 in its standard configuration can be considered ready to sail; if the rich standard equipment is not enough, a wide range of optionals allows the complete customization of the boat. Two 1.70 meters long benches enclose the 3.40 meters long and 1.90 meters wide teak coated cockpit, defining a new standard for an 11 metres boat. Four wide lockers are located inside the two benches and behind the steering wheel; a fifth locker, located in the middle of the cockpit, is large enough to accommodate the equipment and a liferaft: a great space to store everything you like (as a table for the outdoor lunch or the fenders). The open cockpit is completed by a folding and removable teak coated bathing platform, including a swim ladder.

Italia 10.98 è consegnata pronta per navigare e un ampio catalogo di optionals consente la completa personalizzazione della barca. Lo spazio esterno è abbondante: due grandi panche da 1,7 metri di lunghezza fanno da cornice al pozzetto, completamente rivestito in teak, che misura ben 3,40 metri di lunghezza per 1,90 di larghezza, definendo nuovi standard per una barca di undici metri. Sotto le panche e a poppa, dietro la ruota del timone, sono previsti quattro ampi gavoni; un quinto gavone, al centro del pozzetto, è dimensionato per alloggiare l’autogonfiabile: tanto spazio per stivare di tutto, dal tavolino per mangiare all’aperto, alla zattera, ai parabordi. Il pozzetto aperto è completato a poppa da una spiaggetta apribile, rivestita in teak, completa di scaletta bagno.

– Ready to sail from the first day

All hatches are flush deck and are located in the bow cabin and in saloon, provided with flyscreens. There are also six opening portlights, three on each side of coachroof and one opening portlight on the internal side of cockpit for the aft cabin.

The walking section is wide and safe and the through deck jib furler, included in the standard equipment, allows the use of both cruising and racing sails.

Italia 10.98 is provided by four stainless steel mooring cleats, the stainless steel anchor arm can support Delta or similar anchors and it is removable and a 700W windlass is mounted in the chain locker.

All winches are two speeds and self tailing: there are two 44.2 primary winches, two 40.2 mainsheet winches and two 40.2 halyards winches.

Tutti gli osteriggi e i passauomo sono a filo coperta e sono posizionati nella cabina di prua e nella dinette, completati da tendine e zanzariere. Vi sono anche sei oblò ed un’ulteriore apertura all’interno del pozzetto per la cabina di poppa.

La passeggiata è ampia, sicura e libera da ostacoli; a prua l’avvolgifiocco, di serie sottocoperta, permette sia il montaggio di una vela avvolgibile che di vele da regata.

Italia 10.98 prevede quattro bitte d’ormeggio in acciaio inox lucidato. Il musone dell’ancora è di tipo amovibile in acciaio inox predisposto per ancora Delta o similare ed è fornito con un salpancore da 700 W munito di barboutin che supporta una catena calibrata da 8 mm installato nel gavone dell’ancora. Tutti i winch sono self tailing a due velocità: due winch primari 44.2, due winch per la randa 40.2 e due winch per le drizze tipo 40.2.

Mast and rigThe standard version is provided with aluminum boom and a two spreaders mast by John Mast, with discontinuous rigging and stainless steel turnbuckles.

The furling drum recessed below deck is manual with the ability to maneuver through the halyards winch. All the running rigging is made with ropes made of Dyneema® cores.

Sit in the cockpit of broader category, forget the size of the boat and unwind on the comfortable extra large size benches that will make you feel like at home; alone, with your family, or in the company of many friends, the space will always be plentiful.

In addition to the large size of the cockpit, Italia 10.98 has ample storage space in five distinct lockers, two under the benches and three on the floor in the cockpit, one of which is dedicated exclusively to the liferaft.

As a standard, the cockpit and the seats are covered with high-quality teak; upon request, it is also possible to finish all the deck with teak.

Italia 10.98 vanta il pozzetto più ampio della categoria: dimensioni extra large che vi faranno sentire a vostro agio; da soli, con la famiglia, o in compagnia di tanti amici, lo spazio sarà sempre abbondante.

Oltre al pozzetto molto ampio, Italia 10.98 dispone di ampi spazi di stivaggio con ben cinque distinti gavoni, due sotto le panche e tre sul pavimento del pozzetto, di cui uno centrale dedicato alla zattera autogonfiabile.

Di serie, il pozzetto e le panche sono rivestiti con pregiato legno di teak; su richiesta è disponibile anche la copertura dell’intero ponte in teak.

– The interiors, light and space as much as you like

Light, space, ventilation and comfort are some of the criteria to develop the interiors of this eleven metres boat, giving the large spaces sensation, typical of bigger boats. Italia 10.98 can offer high performances, ensuring the comfort of cruising boats. The design is linear and essential, warm and welcoming, and it aims to create an environment that immediately transmits a sense of intimacy and comfort.

Top quality materials have been used, teak wood and steel accessories, fabrics

and hardware. The construction quality is excellent, as well as the attention given to each details in the refining phase. All the furnitures and bulkheads are made of teak veneered plywood satin varnished; the two doors on the main bulkhead, a well sized chart table, a folding table with an incorporated bottle rack located between the two comfortable dinette settees (thanks to their length of two metres they can be turned into comfortable beds) reveal a pleasant and classic environment.

Luce, spazio, aereazione, vivibilità, sono i criteri guida che hanno portato alla realizzazione degli interni di questo undici metri, che regala subito una sensazione di grande spazio, tipica di barche dalle dimensioni maggiori. Il design è pulito ed essenziale, caldo ed accogliente, volto a creare un ambiente che trasmette immediatamente una sensazione di comfort e calore. I materiali sono di prima scelta, sia per quanto riguarda il legno di teak che per acciai, tessuti e la ferramenta; la qualità della

costruzione è di livello eccellente, così come la cura di ogni dettaglio delle finiture. Tutti i mobili e le paratie sono impiallacciati in teak con verniciatura satinata.

Le due porte sulla paratia di prua, un carteggio ben dimensionato, un tavolo abbattibile con portabottiglie incorporato posizionato tra i due comodi divani della dinette (che raggiungono una lunghezza di quasi due metri e sono trasformabili in comodi letti) rivelano un ambiente classicoe piacevole.
