The 9th SebinaDAY, the annual meeting of the Sebina user comunity, will be focused on the issues of innovation and change. Change in a variety of expressions: the role of libraries in society, the relationship between librarians and the public, people having to adapt to the ever increasing complexity of their lives. A new library that rethinks its relationship to its users and for which service to the public has become the focus of its activities. Librarians, as knowledge brokers, expand the scope of their activities from manageing collections to the support and development of their user community. The technological components of this scenario (semantic networks, open data…) are combined with social network tools which have become indispensable in renewing and developing the relationship between the library and its users.
