ERIS TJAMOS’SHORT SCIENTIFIC CV AND CONGRESS ORGANIZING ACTIONS
Eris Tjamos started his main scientific carrier working at Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, UK for his Ph.D. studying the role of phytoalexins in the resistance of tomatoes to Verticillium albo-atrum. He worked in Lexington, KY, USA on modes of triggering immunization phenomena
in plants (paper in Science). He studied at Beltsville Maryland USA biological control agents against Verticillium
dahliae He studied and applied commercially soil solarization in Greece. He is the founder of the one of the world’s recognized laboratories for studying
Verticillium wilt from all applied, biological, biochemical and molecular aspects.He is member of the International Soil disinfestation committee.He is the founder of the Hellenic Society of Phytiatry
