3.2 Selection criteria
For CBN customer fields only, one KIBRAID must be ordered by rack. For IBN customer fields one KMISO will be ordered and mounted under the rack, during rack fixing step (see chapter 2).
One or two KI2HLGD1 kits are to order, as much as the JSXPDUE1 number. This kit contains the two holes lugs to connect the 16 or 35mm² wires to the rack. The main features of these two holes lugs are: standard barrel 90°, ∆=19mm (3/4’) Ø=M6 (1/4’)
In most countries, the 16mm² 1AC017610012 wire is compliant and should be ordered.
! CAUTION
CAUTION: The choice of the safety ground section wire is compliant with IEC60364-5-54. On some customer fields the installation rules are more restricted and in this case, the solution is to order the 35mm² 1AC017610003 wire.
These wires could be ordered per drum. The only drums codified today are: Section (mm²) length ALU code Drum ref.

4 RACK POWERING
The 8650 SDM rack, in SD01 rack layout, has been developed with one or two JSXPDUE1 Power Distribution Units (PDU).
The JSXPDUE1 has been developed to feed one ATCA-V2 chassis, and up to four other small devices as Switch/Routers (S/R) and an alarm board in redundant mode.
In these configurations, two power feeds (0V and -48V), one for A branch and one for B branch, could be requested to the customer for each JSXPDUE1 implemented in the rack. Each power feed should be protected by a dedicated CB on the Customer power plant.
Figure 1: wiring schematic of the JSXPDUE1 connection to the customer power plant
! REMARK
Only black wires references are provided with colored rings.
! CAUTION
CAUTION: The ground of the rack must be connected before to connect the rack to the power plant. See chapter 3.
The nominal voltages are -48 or -60V. (From -40.5V to -72V).
The wires to use are double sheathing 10mm² or 35mm² wires.

4.2 Selection criteria
To define the material to be ordered, three data must be defined:
• Na The number of ATCAV2 chassis included in the rack.
! REMARK
In the configurations with two ATCAV2 chassis (2D, 2F, 2DF and 2FD distributed configurations and DC Compact configuration) the second JSXPDUE1 (X2) will be connected on the customer power plan only when the second ATCAV2 chassis will be implemented on the rack.
! CAUTION
CAUTION: It is strongly advisable to connect the second JSXPDUE1 to customer power plant when the second ATCAV2 chassis (CD) is not implemented in the rack.
• Dr: distance from rack to customer power plant (meters): from 5 to 45m.
• Ff: Foreseen for the future. If the distance between rack and customer power plant is less than 20m, 16mm² cables are sufficient to feed the JSXPDUE1, but in this case, if the product used new more consuming boards in the future, the power cables will be to replace by 35mm² cables. The choice to install directly 35mm² cables is proposed.
From these two criteria, the number of cable drums and two holes kits could be defined with the following table:
Dr Na = 1 x ATCAV2 chassis 2 x ATCAV2 chassis
Ff= 16 mm² 35mm² 16 or 35mm² 35mm² only
[5-12.5m] 1 x drum 16mm² 1 x drum 35mm² 1 x drum 16mm² 1 x drum 35mm²
]12.5-25m] 1 x drum 16mm² 1 x drum 35mm² 2 x drum 16mm² 2 x drum 35mm²
]25-33m] Not available 2 x drum 35mm² Not available 3 x drum 35mm²
]33-45m] Not available 2 x drum 35mm² Not available 4 x drum 35mm²
Two Holes lugs kits 1 x KI2HL6P2 1 x KI2HL2P2 2 x KI2HL6P2 2 x KI2HL2P2 Table 7 Drums and kits vs. criteria
On the site, each connected access (A and B) must be connected by two cables (-48V and 0V cables, see the Figure 2)
The consumption of each these accesses, in the nominal / worst cases is given by the ELS document [1] and recalled in the Figure 2.
The strongly recommended values to protect these accesses on the customer power plant are:
• 80A if 16mm² wire (in this case the selectivity is not preserved),
• 90 or 100A if 35mm² wire.
! CAUTION
CAUTION: In no case should the circuit breaker protection exceed 125A for a 35mm² cable, and 80A for a 16mm² cable (IEC60364-5-52 installation method E, F).
The Figure 2 summarize all the cases.

All these solutions are described in the Grounding GIS document [4].
4.3 Survey and engineering questions
The questions for the site survey and/or engineering are:
1/ how many ATCAV2 chassis are implemented in the rack?
According to the answer, determine the number of links and kits to order.
2/ distance between the rack and the customer power plant to deduct the Dr length of the cable to fed the rack?
According to the answer, calculate the number of 100m drum to order.
3/ 16 or 35mm² cables between rack and customer power plant?
According to the answers: 35 : 35mm² cables will be ordered 16 : 16 mm² cable are ordered (if Dr ≤20m).
2 For Chinese market the NBRZAF are replaced by NBRZAG 3 For Chinese market the number of NBRZAF is at least 2 up to 8 by step of 2 per FE node

5 WIRING
There are four types of external cords:
• Serial cords for debug and/or installation only,
• Ethernet cords, on copper cable or optical fiber medium
• E1 cords
• Alarm links
5.1 Part List
The following cables could be ordered: Objects Ref. ALU Codes function

3CM03094BAAARJZZA Edition 02 Released 16/32
5.2 Selection criteria
5.2.1 Serial Links
Two LSMUD9 are always ordered with one rack.
These cords are used on debug and/or installation mode only. These cords could be connected on the serial ports of the ROUZIC or MALBAN boards (ports X09 and X10 from M01 to M14) on the ATCA-V2 side and on DB9 Serial port on an external PC. This link is a 3m link only.
5.2.2 Ethernet Links
For Ethernet, Fast Ethernet (FE) and Giga Ethernet (GE) links, the only cords used are GE compliant cords (≤100m). In standard solution, the provided Ethernet cords are white JLCAT6 (≤90m).
When the JLCAT6 length is customer dependent, to limit the number of codes, only 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40m lengths will be suggested.
All these links are from the S/R accesses or Malban Switches (on ATCAV2 chassis).
The crossover cords are rarely used because many Ethernet accesses are Auto MDI-X., and by default, the straight cords will be preferred. In other case, this data will be provided. When these cords are mandatory, the ALETHC could be used, but this cable is not foreseen in the standard installation solution. The codes vs. lengths for this cord see Annex B.
Two JLCAT6 (10m) are always provided to connect eventually two Malban switches (X01 port) to the External management, in the debug or installation mode. This port is usable after disconnection of the functional link. This functional link must be re-connected in operational mode.
All the other Ethernet links are configuration dependent.
5.2.2.1 External Ethernet Link from the Switch/routers
The OS6850 S/R are mandatory in this rack, then 2x24 ports are available to connect the customer networks. All these port are Auto MDI-X, and then the Straight cords are always available. The wiring is defined for each site but by default four accesses and four links are foreseen.
In the standard installation, four links are provided to fulfill this function. Their length is given by the IDTool.
In the standard installation, these links are copper links only.

5.2.4 Alarm Links
When the customer requests this function, a JLDAW cord should be used. One by JSXPDUE1 is required. In this case, the following link is:
FROM TO Rack Device Port Side Rack Device Port Side
Cord
AL1 Alarm X01 1 External Signal lamp panel TBD on the site 2 JLDAW (≤60m) SD01 AL2 Alarm X021 1 External Signal lamp panel TBD on the site 2 JLDAW (≤60m)
Table 12 Alarm link between Alarm board and external signal lamp panel
As the JLDAW length is customer dependent, to limit the number of codes, only 20 and 40m lengths will be suggested.
The Alarm board (JBALARM – AL1) is plugged on the side of the JSXPDUE1 (X1 and/or X2) PDUs on the top of the rack. A specific GIS [5] how to install this cord on the customer field. For memory this external cord will be routed mainly on the Rear Area - Left –RAL- and Rear Area – Right –RAR- (see [6]).
Figure 9 JBALARM (side view)
This board provides 4 accesses: P01 for the power, X01 for the alarm loops, X02 and X03 for the ATCA-V2 interface.
In this case: as much as JLDAW as PDU in the rack are proposed.

5.3 How rout the External Cords
5.3.1 E1 Cords
These cords are routed from the front of the ATCA-V2 chassis. They could be routed to the top or to the bottom of the rack, following the generic methods given in the Wiring GIS [6]. For memory these external cords will be routed mainly on the Rear Area - Left –RAL- and Rear Area – Right –RAR- (see [6]).
With the AMC boards, the wiring is more complex. The suggested solution to wire all these cables is use two accessories:
• A KMFT1 horizontal side-to-side cable tray on the top of the rack (provided with the rack. See ELS [1])
• and MPGC1 & MPGC2 horizontal front to rear cable trays (provided with the rack. See ELS [1]).
Figure 11 cabling way front view, example
5.3.2 Other Cords
The generic methods to rout these cords on the rack are given in the Wiring GIS [6], but in this product, 1. Because the number of these links from the ATCA-V2 chassis is small, no specific rules are given. 2. From the S/R, the external Ethernet links will be routed to the bottom of the rack:
- If the output is in the bottom, these links could be output directly, - If the output is in the top, these links will creep along the Rear Right Vertical Rail (RRVR) to the top of the rack (see the Wiring GIS [6]).

1/ Distance between the rack and the Ethernet customer network?
According to the answers, will be defined the length of the different Ethernet cords.
2/ How many RT boards are provided?
3/ Is What is the RT type? NBRZAF or NBRZAG?
4/ Distance between the rack and the customer DDF?
5/ 75 or 120 ohms site?
According to the answer, will be defined if E1/T1 links will be delivery and the length of the different E1/T1 cords.
6/ Is Terminal blocks provided? base8 or base10?
According to the answer, will be defined if 120 ohms terminal blocks will be delivery.
7/ Is 120/75 ohms adaptor provided?
8/ Is 100m drum of coaxial cable provided? How?
9/ Is 1.6/5.6 coaxial plug provided?
According to the answer, will be defined if 75 ohms adaptor and accessories will or could be delivery.
10/ how many PDU will be connected to an external signal lamp panel?
11/ Have you need a link to a signal lamp panel?
12/ if yes, what is the distance?
According to the answers, will be defined the number and the length of a JLDAW cord to order.

A. CONSUMPTION:
The section of the cable and the lugs to use, depend on the voltage drop and length of the cable.
Recall for memory: Consumption in the worst case, for small configuration ≤ 30.9A and for medium configurations ≤ 46.1A (the reference values are given in the ELS document [1]).
The following table gives the maximum distance between the rack and the customer power plan (for a 1.7V loss max) for 16 and 35mm² wires:
Consumption Upstream protection
<16A ≤30.9A ≤46.1A mm² AWG
10-80A 59,3 m 30,7 m 20,6 m 16 4 10-125A 129,6 m 67,1 m 45,0 m 35 2
Table 14 Length of 16 and 35 mm² external cords
Other wire diameters are usable if the correspondent lugs are finding and checked in the JSXPDUE1. In this case, the limitations are given by the following table:
Consumption Upstream protection
<16A ≤30.9A ≤46.1A mm² AWG
10-63A 37,0 m 19,1 m 12,9 m 10 8 10-80A 59,3 m 30,7 m 20,6 m 16 4 10-100A 92,6 m 47,9 m 32,1 m 25 3 10-125A 129,6 m 67,1 m 45,0 m 35 2
Table 15 Length of all external cords
! CAUTION
CAUTION: In this case, the maximum protections values could must be compliant with EN60950-1 and EN60364-5-54 or other safety local rules, for a loss of 1.7V max in the wires on one access (0V and -48V)..
! CAUTION
CAUTION: If 35mm² Section is not installed on a power access, all evolution on the rack should be completed by a check of the suitability of the wire Section and upstream customer protection.
! CAUTION
CAUTION: The choice of a wire section is also dependent on the loss in the wire. For a Cross Section, the maximum distance between source and JSXPDUEx is given by the following function: Lmax (m) = 2400 * s (area wire in mm²) / P (power in W) for 1.7V loss between A interface (PDU) and Source.
