Installing Windows 2000 Server drivers andprograms

You can in stall drivers and program s directly on to th e server byusin g the Server Com panion CD . You can also ext ract d rivers on to

diskette from th e CD at an y Win dows workstation .

To install drivers and programs at the server:

1 In sert th e Server Com panion CD into you r servers CD drive.Th e Gateway Application and Driver Recovery win dow open s.

gwmenu.exe on th e CD.

2 ClickAutoSearch for devices on the Server at th e right ofth e win dow, th en clickSearch. A list of program s and

To boot to this CD:

1 With your server turn ed on , in sert th e Server Com panion CDin to t h e CD drive.

2 Restart yo ur server. A m essage app ears askin g you to select

an option .3 Select 2. Boot from CD-ROM. Th e Gateway Utilities Main

Menu appears.

You can use th e option s in th is m enu to reform at your h ard

drive, restart you r server, or exit to a com m an d p rom pt .

Gatew ay li censo r or sup plier. THIS AGREEMENT CONTAINS A DISPUTE RESOLUTION CLAUSE. PLEASE

SEE SECTION 8 BELOW.

The SOFTWARE PRODUCT in clud es co m pu ter softw are, the associated m edia, an y print ed m aterials,

and an y onlin e or electron ic docum entation. By turnin g on the system , openin g the shrink-wrapped

packag in g, cop yin g or oth erwise usin g the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, yo u agree to be bou n d by th e term s ofth is EULA. If you do n ot agree to th e terms of th is EULA, Gatew ay is un w illin g to li cen se the SOFTWARE

PRODUCT to y ou . In such even t, yo u m ay n ot use or copy the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, and yo u sh ou ld

SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE

Th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by cop yrigh t laws and int ernat ion al copyright treaties, as well as oth er

in tellectu al pro pert y laws an d t reat ies. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed, n ot sold.

1 GRANT OF LICENSE. This EULA gran ts you th e following righ ts:

Software. Gateway grant s you a license t o u se on e copy of th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT on on e

COMPUTER (COMPUTER). Use m ean s storing, load ing, in stalling, execut ing or d isplaying t h e

SOFTWARE PRODUCT. If th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licen sed fo r con curren t u se, you m ay n ot

allow mo re th an th e m axim um n um ber of auth orized users to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT

concurrently.

Back-up Copy. If Gateway has not provided a back-up copy of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you may

m ake a sin gle back-up co py of th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT. You m ay u se th e back-up cop y solely forarchival purp oses.

2 DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.

Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation and Disassembly. You m ay n ot m odify,

reverse engin eer, decom pile, or disassem ble th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT, except an d on ly to th e exten t

th at such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law not withstan ding th is limitation .

Separation of Com pon ents. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a single pro du ct. Its com pon en t

parts an d an y upgrades m ay not be separated for use on m ore than on e com put er.

Single COMPUTER. Th e SOFTWARE PRODUC T is licen sed w ith th e CO MPUTER as a single in tegrat ed

8 Dispute Resolution. You agree th at an y Dispu te bet ween You an d G ateway will be resolved exclusivelyand fin ally by arbitration adm inistered by th e National Arbitration Forum (NAF) and cond ucted un der its

rules, except as oth erwise provided below. Th e arbitration will be con du cted before a single arbitrator, and

will be limited solely to t h e Dispu te between You an d Gateway. Th e arbitration shall be held at an y

reason able location n ear your residence by submission o f documen ts, by telephon e, online or in person .

An y decision rendered in such arbitration proceedings will be final and bindin g on th e parties, and

judgmen t m ay be en tered thereon in any court of competen t jurisdiction. Sh ould either party brin g aDisput e in a forum oth er th an NAF, th e arbitrator m ay award th e oth er party its reason able costs an d

expen ses, includin g attorn eys fees, in curred in staying or dismissing such oth er proceedin gs or in

oth erwise enforcing comp liance with th is dispute resolution provision. You understand that, in the

absence of this provision, You would have had a right to litigate disputes through a court, and that

You have expressly and knowingly waived that right and agreed to resolve any Disputes through

binding arbitration. This arbitration provision sha ll be governed b y th e Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C.

Section 1, et seq. For th e purp oses of this provision, th e term Disput e m eans an y dispute, controversy, or

claim arisin g out of or relating to (i) th is Agreemen t, its in terpretation, or t h e breach , termin ation,

app licability or validity th ereof, or (ii) the related p urch ase or use of any p rodu ct or service from Gateway;

th e term Gateway m ean s Gateway, Inc., its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, em ployees,

ben eficiaries, agent s or assigns; and t h e term You m ean s you th e origin al purch aser, or th ose in privity,

9 Miscellaneous. Th is Agreemen t is govern ed by th e laws of th e Un ited Stat es an d th e Stat e of Sout hDakota, with out reference to con flicts of law principles. Th e application of th e Un ited Nations

Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded. This Agreement sets

forth all right s for th e user of th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT and is th e en tire agreem en t bet ween th e part ies.Th is Agreemen t supersedes any ot her com m un ications with respect t o th e SOFTWARE PRODUCT and an y

associated docum entat ion. Th is Agreemen t m ay not be m odified except by a written adden dum issued by

a duly auth orized represen tative of Gateway. No provision h ereof shall be deemed waived un less such

waiver sh all be in writin g and signed by Gat eway or a duly auth orized represent ative of Gateway. If an y

provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force

and effect. Th e parties con firm th at it is their wish th at th is Agreemen t h as been written in th e English

language on ly.
