LIQUID BULKMontreal is home to a major network of pipelines. The Port of Montreal has 13 berths that handle petroleum products. Several berths aside from those reserved for liquid bulk are also equipped with pipelines for handling liquid bulk other than petroleum products, such as molasses and vegetable oil.

GRAINThe Port of Montreal’s grain elevator has a total storage capacity of 260,000 tonnes. It can load ocean-going vessels at a rate of 5,500 tonnes/hour and has a total vessel unloading capacity of 3,000 tonnes/hour, making it one the fastest and most efficient grain elevators on the St. Lawrence River.
