    MATERIALS

    • 790-300 Lion Brand Homespun® Yarn: Hepplewhite  5 Balls

    • Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size K-10.5

    • Lion Brand Stitch Markers• Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)

    GAUGE:

    1 1/2 pattern repeats + 5 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in established shell pattern. BE SURE TO

    CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size

    specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it

    takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size

    hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

    STITCH EXPLANATION:

    Shell: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in indicated st or sp.Inc-shell: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in indicated st or sp.

    NOTES:

    When instructed to work a shell in a shell, work a shell in the ch-2 sp of the indicated shell.

    SHAWLCh 4; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 5 dc in ring.Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in first st, 2 dc in next 5 sts—12 sts.
