ADVANCED PLACEMENT CLASSES (AP)
• Most AP classes are for Grades 10-12• Summer work often required • Not completing summer work is NOT an acceptable reason to drop an AP class in fall!
• GPA is weighted .05 for each semester• Talk to your teachers! Know what the expectations will be!
Project Lead the Way (PLTW)• Pre- Engineering courses• Combines math and science with engineering and
technology skills• Some engineering schools give advanced standing for
successful completion of PLTW courses
Transcripted Credits• Higher level academic and vocational courses
• Prepare students for advanced courses in college

REGISTRATION TIME LINE• January 9-16 – Register for classes online• Counselors to visit middle schools:
January 10 Lake Denoon
January 11 Bay Lane
• January 11 Parochial Night – MHS Library• April – Confirmation of classes• May 1 – Deadline to change classes (on a space
available basis)• August TBA - Transition to High School • August 14 & 15 – Pick up schedule, pay fees, picture
taken on Registration Day
• If you register on January 16th, you will have the same opportunity for classes as someone who registers on January 9th.
• However, if you don’t register by January 16th, you may not get your first choice of electives.
Registration Timeline
• Portal open for Registration Jan. 9 - Jan 16
• Out of district students will turn in Course Selection form and proof of residency to MHS by January 16th
• If you do not register by Jan 16, you may not get your first choice in classes!
TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS
Why take more than 6 credits?
• This is your opportunity to challenge yourself and prepare yourself for college-level work.
• Opportunity to take career-related courses such as Project Lead the Way; Business; Family & Consumer; Technology, Engineering & Design; Art. Prepare yourself for the 21st Century job market.
• Students are not able to add classes after the deadline if your request does not meet the schedule change criteria
• This is another opportunity to increase your rigor, expand your knowledge. and show your true abilities!
Online Registration
Log onto Infinite Campus
Use TWO numbers for a year-long class (1 for each semester)
Course numbers are found on the course selection form and in the Academic Guidebook

Instructions for Online Course SelectionInstructions for Online Course Selection Process
1. Go to the Muskego-Norway Schools web site (www.muskegonorway.org). 2. Click on “Student Links.” 3. Locate the Infinite Campus Student Log In and click it. 4. Enter your User Name: This is your School ID Number. 5. Enter your Password: This is your 6 digit birth date, unless you have changed it. 6. Click the Log In box (if you haven’t changed your password, this would be a good time, so no one else changes your
classes!) Go to “Change Account Info” on left side in gray box. 7. Click on Registration – Left-hand column of screen. 8. Click on Course Search – Upper right side of screen. 9. Enter the course number from your course selection sheet in the box Course Number then click Go. You must do this
for both semesters of a year-long class!
10. The course name and number will be listed to the right. Click on course name under “Select course to view.” 11. Scroll down and click on the box Request This Course. You must do this for both semesters of a year-long class! 12. Courses should now be listed on the left side under Requested Courses
13. Repeat steps 8-11 until all courses have been selected.
If you make a mistake and want to change a class, click on the course name under Requested Courses and verify that you’ve selected the course you want to drop and click Drop This Request.
14. You must now choose two alternate courses. If are you signing up for J azz Band or summer school, include these
course numbers under Alternate Courses as well as two other choices. Repeat Steps 9 & 10 then click, Request as an Alternate for each selection.
15. When all courses have been selected, including both semesters of a year-long course and two alternates, you must
print your requests. Click on, PRINT REQUEST SUMMARY, on the top right of your screen. 16. Click on Log Off on the left hand column of screen. 17. Staple together and return the signed Course Selection sheet and a copy of course requests printed from Infinite
Campus to your homeroom teacher.
Congratulations! You are done registering!
