Dear Friends and ColleaguesIt is a great honour for me to personally invite you again to the 8th International Breast Sym-posium Düsseldorf (IBSD) at the InterContinental Hotel situated at the Königsallee. Again, we have been able to recruit national and international experts with a great experience in all areas of aesthetic as well as reconstructive breast surgery.

We will also have, for the second time, simultaneous translation to russian language. The 8th International Breast Symposium will be linked to the first Breast & Body Live Surgery Day, which will show the state of the art breast surgery in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. The operations will be performed with outstanding, well-known Plastic Surgeons and Gy-necologists.

Further, the aim of our 8th Symposium is to have lively scientific controversial discussions together with the participants and the faculty. Again, we will focus on pro- and contra ses-sions to take the great opportunity to strengthen the multidisciplinary approach between the colleagues to create a platform for an open discussion from different perspectives.

The following topics are focused to surgical indications and selection of appropriate techni-ques for breast surgery:
