The trade fair was attended altogether by 181 exhibiting firms which presented their expositions in 4 halls on a gross exhibition area of 14,000 m2. The trade fair was visited altogether by 31,073 anglers. We are glad to see that the FOR FISHING Trade Fair becomes a sought-after and prestigious event both in the Czech Republic and at the international level, and we will be very glad if you support this trade fair through your participation next year as well. TOP EXPO awardAltogether 175 expositions were involved in this competition and the task of the expert jury (consisting of Tomáš Kotrč, MBA – Chief Executive Officer of ABF, a.s.; Michal Sedláček – FOR FISHING Trade Fair Manager and Jan Trnka, DiS. – Technical Department Director) was not easy at all. At the end the Jury decided to grant the TOP EXPO award up to 99 m2 to ZEBCO EUROPE GmbH and the TOP EXPO award above 99 m2 to SPRO B.V.

GRAND PRIX awardIn total 17 exhibits were registered in the GRAND PRIX competition this year and they were assessed by the Expert Jury formed of Tomáš Kotrč – Chief Executive Officer of ABF, a.s. and Michal Sedláček – FOR FISHING Trade Fair Manager. The Jury found a common position at the end and appraised 4 exhibits in the categories:

CATFISH FISHING TECHNIQUE or SEA FISHING: to the firm D.A.M./RYBÁŘSKÉ POTŘEBY CZ for the product known as SPOOL D.A.M. QUICK COMBAT 10 000 FD;

FEEDER FISHING TECHNIQUE or FLOAT FISHING: to the firm CHYTIL for the product known as KORUM ACCESSORY CHAIR X25;

CARP FISHING TECHNIQUE: to the firm ZENERGO a.s. for the product known as LOADS UFO SINKER;

SPINNING FISHING TECHNIQUE or FLY FISHING: to the firm JAKUB VÁGNER RYBÁŘSKÉ POTŘEBY for the product known as WESTIN W4 VERTICAL JIGGING ROD - T QL

ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME

LECTURES A total number of 18 speakers gave a lecture within the 8th FOR FISHING. Visitors could choose from a wide choice of fishing techniques, they could take part in a number of lectures – Alan Blair, Stefan Seuß, Martin Locke, Mike Pyka, Josef Konopásek, Karel Nik and others. The greatest interest was, however, concentrated on the lectures prepared for visitors by Jakub Vágner. All lectures took part in the Congress Hall which is situated in the Entrance Hall II on the first floor.

COMPETITIONS The trade fair visitors could take part in the visitors’ competition for the fishing catamaran “Ondatra” in a value of CZK 19,990, which was sponsored by BOAT STORE, www.boatstore.cz. The competition entitled “Paint a merry fish” was prepared for children.

ON-LINEAlso this year we have prepared various interviews with exhibitors for the public, as well as lectures, announcement of competition results and interviews with visitors. The on-line transmission was running on the web site www.mrk.cz.

MEDIA CAMPAIGN

The promotion of the FOR FISHING Trade Fair was underway for the entire year, especially in specialised media. Two months before the actual event, the campaign was still intensified with promotion on radio stations, in television broadcast and on the Internet, and the outdoor advertising was intense as well. We managed to ensure a great media campaign on TV PRIMA in a value exceeding one million crowns.

Jakub Vágner, JAKUB VÁGNER RYBÁŘSTVÍ In my opinion, the 2017 FOR FISHING has fostered its position of a leading fishing trade fair with pan-European importance. I was pleased by the record-breaking interest of exhibitors originating from 12 different countries, who presented more than 800 fishing brands to visitors. The exhibition halls with hundreds of expositions attracted a lot of fishing celebrities to Prague, from the Czech Republic and abroad, experienced anglers, as well as families with children, which pleased me very much. I myself am looking forward to cooperation during the 9th edition of the FOR FISHING 2018 and I wish a lot of fishing success to all anglers.

Roman Veselý, FOX INTERNATIONALThis year’s edition (2017) has been already the third one in which Fox participated with its exposition intended for the FOR FISHING Exhibition. From my point of view it is possible to see that the level of this exhibition is continually moving forward, which can be seen not only in terms of the number of visitors, but especially in terms of the number of exhibitors. Also the size of our exposition has risen this year up to 300 square metres. This confirms the importance which Fox International ascribes to this exhibition. I highly appreciate wide corridors between individual expositions, thanks to which visitors do not feel constrained, in spite of a large number of visitors, as it is often the case at other exhibitions.
