Evita charts the rags-to-riches rise of the First Lady of Argentina, who won
the love of her countrymen after marrying military leader-turned-president
Juan Peron. Set in Buenos Aires between 1934-1952, the musical follows
Eva Duarte Peron on her journey from fatherless child to ambitious actress
to the most powerful woman in Latin America—and, eventually, to a saint-
like figure after her death at age 33. The events in Evita’s life are presented
in rock-opera style and editorialized on by the show’s narrator, Che.
Presented for the first time at BCT, Evita was the winner of multiple Tony
Awards in 1980, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book of a Musical. NOTE: The
April 1st performance is already sold out, and there is no performance on Easter Sunday.

AUDITIONS FOR ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS: April 9-10, 6:30-9PM Brighton, England: 1963. Change is in the air, and Francis Henshall is looking to make his mark.
Fired from a skiffle band and in search of work, he finds himself employed by small-time gangster
Roscoe, in town to collect a fee from his fiancee's gangster father. But Roscoe is really Rachel,
posing as her own dead brother, herself in love with Stanley Stubbers (her brother's killer) who, in
turn, becomes our hero's other 'guvnor'. Fighting a mounting sense of confusion, Francis goes out
of his way to serve both bosses. But with the distractions of a pneumatic book keeper, a self-
important actor and select members of the criminal fraternity to contend with, how long can
Francis keep his two guvnors apart? If you are auditioning for a part which requires singing, please prepare a song in the
Broadway musical style (2 minutes or less). Auditions will also be comprised of readings from the script. Questions?

President’s Message: We are so close to announcing our 2017-2018
season—just waiting for licensing approval for all the shows! We hope to con-
tinue our trend of presenting shows for the first time at BCT—this year included
5 shows making their BCT debut. As always, we really need volunteers to help
in the lobby and with hospitality during performances. This is especially true during the run
of Evita, as six of our regular Front of House volunteers are in the show! If you can help,
please contact Teresa or Star through our website or Facebook page. Trina Williamson
OPENING MAY 12th FOR TWO WEEKENDS: Forever Plaid
High school pals Sparky, Jinx, Smudge, and Francis are nice young men who love singing harmony. When the Plaids are killed in a car accident on the way to their first big gig, the young men linger in limbo, as unresolved as their final chord, until a con-junction of various “astro-technical” phenomena allows them to return to Earth, per-form their final concert, and hopefully win a place in Heaven - - and the deluxe plaid dinner jackets of their dreams. With a warm and clever book by Stuart Ross, Forever Plaid is a delightful, mischievous, and unashamedly heartwarming homage to the sweet and innocent sounds of the ‘50s and the ‘60s, and features popular hits such as Three Coins in the Fountain, 16 Tons, and Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing. CAST: Francis—Jake Atwood Sparky—Colton Myers Jinx—Zander Martin Smudge—Justin Silver PRODUCTION STAFF: Director—Erin Mckiernan Music Director/Pianist—

too! Raffle tickets are only $1.00 each, or

BCT will be participating for the second time in the Kitsap Great Give, a 24-hour, online
giving event organized by the Kitsap Community Foundation and the United Way. For 24
hours on May 2nd, you can make a tax-deductible donation to BCT. Every dollar you
donate will be proportionally matched by the event sponsors so we will actually get
more money than you donate! BCT is in desperate need of a new roof, which will cost
over $100,000. We raised $10,000 last year during the Kitsap Great Give, and we hope
to beat that amount this year. NOTE: If you would prefer to pay by check, please drop
off or mail a check to BCT before May 2nd, and we will make the donation online on your behalf; please write
“KGG” in the memo section. www.kitsapgreatgive.org. Thank you in advance for your support!
