Operating in today’s oil price environment can be a challenging undertaking for companies both big and small. Global business leaders at ADIPEC 2016 discussed how their businesses prepared for the future and capitalised on industry opportunities.

Topics discussed included:

• Leading through the cycle – anticipating future industry and economic pressures including the $ price per barrel. What can the industry expect short term 6-12 months? And longer term 5-10 years?

• Redefining the industry – are we actively thinking outside the norm?

Oil and gas industry leaders convened at ADIPEC 2016 and discussed the role of gas and LNG as part of the future global fuel mix.

Questions discussed included:

• Are we now entering the ‘golden age for gas’ where cleaner, more flexible energy will help deliver affordable energy?

• Over the next 10-15 years, what future global fuel mix will we see?

• What will the gas and LNG supply landscape look like in 5-10 years?

The 3rd and final session of the Global Business Leaders series, examined how the development of resilient strategies has become a top priority for industry leaders, who are increasingly looking at redefining their business approach in an effort to continue meeting the growth in demand while adapting to the evolving supply mix.

Discussions at ADIPEC 2016 included:

• How are oil and gas industry CEOs strategising during these current turbulent times and what are their expectations for the future energy landscape?

• What constitutes effective leadership in times of change? How do industry leaders create more efficient and resilient organisations for

decades to come?
