2.4. Change the test frequencies to:

2.5. Adjust HIGH-CHANNEL RX TANK L712(labeled "AX H") to obtain 2.5 volts DC onCM118-pin 3.2.6. Activate transmit, then adjust HIGH-CHANNELTX TANK L732 (labeled "TX H") to obtain 2.5volts DC on CM118-pin 3.Reference Oscillator2.7. Initiate transmit on any channel. Measuretransmitted RF carrier frequency withoutmodulation and, if necessary, adjustREFERENCE OSCILLATOR X101 for zerocarrier frequency offset (within 50 Hz ofchannel frequency if using a frequencycounter).

    ALIGNMENT

MAKING AN ALIGNMENT DATA-PACKETThe 70-1080 Programmer has a Remote-ControlMode that allows direct control of the radiosynthesizer so that the radio can operate anytransmit and receive frequency in its band. If theProgrammer is not available for radio alignmentpurposes, follow the procedure below to programa 70-1082 Data Module for alignment use (theProgrammer will be still be needed, but onlyonce).1. Use a 70-1080 Programmer to create a DataPacket containing the frequencies andparameters in the following Test Channelschart. Parameters not specified should be leftat their default values. Refer to theProgrammer Operator's Manual.2. Download the new Data Packet into a 70-1082Data Module. Mark the Module 70-0500 TESTFREQUENCIES.

    3. When ready to align the radio, upload its DataPacket to another 70-1082 Module fortemporary storage, then download the test DataPacket from the Module programmed aboveinto the radio.4. Select the appropriate starting channel:A-Band radios Channel 101B-Band radios Channel 201C-Band radios Channel 3015. While progressing through the aboverealignment procedure, increment channelsevery time the procedure instructs a change incarrier frequency or modulating signal.6. When alignment is complete, download theoriginal Data Packet of the radio from thetemporary-storage Data Module, into the radio.
