Dear Friends:
CaliforniaALL is the result of a gap in the diversity efforts by the legal and
financial services professions. There was a huge need for an overarching
entity that would break down the silos of many different organizations and
individuals doing diversity educational pipeline work. This entity would find
best practices and bring stakeholders together to build coalitions for
sharing resources and creating innovative models to build extended
educational pipelines. Thus, the birth of CaliforniaALL.
CaliforniaALL's journey since its inception on a napkin in April 2007 has
been very gratifying for me. Since then, a firm foundation has been put in
place with a committed and engaged board. Many of you have been
instrumental in helping us to fulfill our vision and mission for California's
students. I thank all of you for the inspiration and encouragement in
building this new organization.
It is time for me to pass the gavel to the next leader to take CaliforniaALL to
the next level. The work of enhancing the success of our students from pre-
school to the professions will continue. It will take all of us in collaboration
to deliver a workforce and leadership that is competent, successful and
diverse. CaliforniaALL lives on.
Warm regards,
Ruthe C. Ashley
Founding President/CEO, CaliforniaALL
