The purpose of my financial coaching is to help you get control of

your money so you can prosper and build wealth.

However, I don’t want you to lose sight of the fact that the pursuit

of wealth is not just a purpose unto itself.

So let’s talk about 7 certainties about wealth based on the

passage below:

17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their

money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we

need for our enjoyment.

18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and

generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.

19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the

future so that they may experience true life.

I Timothy 6:17-19 (NLT)


We should not take pride or put our trust in our

wealth.

When we do this, we turn our wealth into an idol

and it becomes the primary driver of our lives.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the

one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and

despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.“

Matthew 6:24 (NASB)


Earthly riches are temporary and can be here

today and gone tomorrow.

A job loss, an illness, poor decisions, or a

dramatic socioeconomic event could really cause

our wealth to disappear.

4 Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, cease from your consideration

of it.

5 When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes

itself wings like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.

Proverbs 23:4-5 (NASB)


Our trust should be in God who is the One who

provides everything in our lives.

All good things come from Him including our

ability to work, earn money, and prosper

“But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who

is giving you power to make wealth,”

Deuteronomy 8:18a (NASB)


Live with a heart full of gratitude.

“in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for

you in Christ Jesus.”

I Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)


It is good to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

There is nothing wrong with spending

money wisely.

18 Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink and

enjoy oneself in all one’s labor in which he toils under the sun during

the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward.

19 Furthermore, as for every man to whom God has given riches and

wealth, He has also empowered him to eat from them and to receive

his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.

Ecclesiastes 5:18-19 (NASB)


Our wealth should be used to do good works and

to help those in need.

We should always be ready to share from what

the Lord has provided for us.

“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all

people, and especially to those who are of the household of

the faith.”

Galatians 6:10 (NASB)


What we do for others in this life has more

eternal value than anything shown on our

balance sheet.

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and

rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth

nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
