HIGH SCHOOL CONFIRMATION DANCE Our Confirmation Program is having a dance in the Parish Hall this coming Saturday, February 22 as a fundraiser to help cover the expenses of the Confirmation retreat. Tickets are $15.00 each and will be sold at the Parish Office during the week and at the door. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and there will be dancing from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ “Mr. Extremo.” Tickets include a plate of three tacos and a water or soda — additional food will be available for purchase. The dance has a country theme, so be sure that you wear jeans and western boots as there will be a photo booth. Call our office at 510.471.2609 for more information.

BAILE PATROCINADO POR EL GRUPO DE CONFRIMACION (SECUNDARIA) Nuestro Programa de Confirmación va a tener un baile en el Salón Parroquial este sábado, 22 de febrero para recaudar fondos para el retiro de Confirmación. Los boletos están a $15.00 y se venderán en la oficina durante la semana y en la puerta. THIS WEEK’S NEWS NOTICAS DE ESTA SEMANA LENT WILL BE HERE IN JUST OVER A WEEK, SO “GIRD YOUR PALMS” You can now bring the palms you received last year to church so that they can be made into the ashes that we will be using on Ash Wednesday. Next weekend there will be a basket in front of the altar where you can place them.

So you can put it in your calendar and join us, we will be burning the palms on Monday, February 24. There will be a liturgy in the Church at 7:00 p.m., after which the palms will be burned in front of the Church.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TO HAVE A CASINO BUS TRIP

The Knights of Columbus will be having a trip to Thunder Valley Casino as a fundraiser on Saturday, April 18. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 7:15 a.m. sharp. The bus should be back at the church around 6:30 p.m. The cost of tickets is $35.00 per person. Each person will receive $15.00 in play money and a $5.00 meal credit. OUR LADY’S GUILD INIVTES ALL WOMEN TO ITS LENTEN RETREAT — SATURDAY, MARCH 14 Our Lady’s Guild invites all women to join them for its annual Lenten Retreat to be held at the Dominican Sisters Motherhouse in the Mission San José district of Fremont. It will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The retreat is $15.00 per person and includes continental breakfast and lunch. LA CUARESMA ESTARA AQUI EN UN POCO MAS DE UNA SEMANA, ASI QUE TRAIGAN SUS PALMAS Ya pueden traer sus palmas que recibieron el año pasado a la iglesia para que se hagan cenizas que usaremos el Miércoles de Ceniza. El próximo fin de semana habrá una canasta en frente del altar en donde puede colocarlas en esta canasta.

Así es que aparte la fecha del lunes, 24 de febrero ya que es cuando vamos quemar las palmas en este día. Habrá un liturgia en la Iglesia a las 7:00 p.m., después se quemarán las palmas en frente de la Iglesia. LOS CABALLEROS DE COLON TENDRÁN UN VIAJE AL CASINO EN CAMION

Los Caballeros de Colón tendrán un viaje al Casino Thunder Valley como un evento para recaudar fondos el sábado, 18 de abril. El camión saldrá del estacionamiento de la iglesia a la 7:15 a.m. en punto. El camión estará de regreso a la iglesia como a las 6:30 p.m. El costo de los boletos es de $35.00 por persona.
