Greetings,

It is my privilege to welcome you to our 6th Annual Pittsburgh Leadership Conference. Since the inception of the Pittsburgh Diversity and Leadership Conference, we have made great strides in fostering an environment for diversity and inclusion. However, there is still much more to be done. In order to remain competitive in today’s global economy, organizations must be innovative and creative when it comes to maintaining diversity within their workforce. They should also actively seek to mold leaders and encourage employee engagement throughout every level of their infrastructure, in order to ensure organizational objectives are not merely fulfilled, but exceeded. To achieve these goals, businesses must constantly strive for change and promote environments of inclusion, while also educating employees on the importance of these policies.

Our conference will afford organizations the opportunity to explore tools and resources necessary to build diverse workforces and remain competitive on the global stage. The event will also provide a valuable opportunity for individuals to network together and grow in their knowledge of diversity and leadership, which can be utilized to craft long and distinguished careers. Finally, our speakers and various panel sessions will offer a unique perspective on a plethora of topics, including the creation of a diverse workforce, essential leadership skills, personal branding, and diversity and inclusion best practices.

I encourage you to join us and not only actively participate with your colleagues, but take your newly acquired knowledge back to your organization and share it with your coworkers, managers, and senior leadership, in order to promote a diverse and inclusive environment for all. Megan Cleghorn, JD, MBA is the President of Cleghorn Performance Elevation LLC, an elite private–client executive coaching, leadership empowerment and executive communication company. As a coach and consultant, Megan marries her many years of operational and financial expertise with her passion for empowering current and future senior executives with the tools to graduate from Excellent to Superior.

Megan is also the CEO of Request For Relief LLC, a national organizational–wellness consultancy servicing clients facing high–stress business and workplace challenges, including restructurings and post–M&A integration. Esther Barazzone has been the President of Chatham University since 1992. Prior to becoming president, Dr. Barazzone served as Professor of European Intellectual History at Hamilton and Kirkland Colleges and also worked for the University of Pennsylvania and Swart more College; she was Vice President of Academic Affairs at Philadelphia University before coming to Pittsburgh.

Under President Barazzone’s leadership, Chatham has grown from a women’s college to a coeducational university with a women’s college within it and has increased its enrollment almost five fold to 2,300 students,

and its land holdings from 32 acres to nearly 450 acres, including a new satellite campus in Richland Township which will be the first campus in the world built entirely sustainably. Chatham has added programs of national distinction in the health sciences, writing, sustainability, and globalism, winning the Heiskell Award from Fulbright for exemplary internationalization. Chatham University was named to the “2013 Green College Honor Roll” by The Princeton Review and was one of 21 schools that received a 99 (the highest score).

She has received many awards including honorary degrees from Donshisa Women’s College in Kyoto, Japan, Seuol Women’s University and the University Medal from Fatimah Jinnah Women’s University in Pakistan. She was named a Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania by the Governor, a History Maker by the Heinz History Center, given the YWCA of Pittsburgh Tribute to Women Award, the Susan B. Anthony Leadership Award, and the Gandhi, King, Ikeda Award for outstanding leadership for Peace and Humanitarianism.

Esther Barazzone, PH. D PresidentChatham University

Nancilee Burzachechi, JD, CFRE, heads up the Office of Government Relations and External Affairs for the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) where she has the opportunity to promote greater understanding of the role post-secondary education can provide for women and underrepresented populations. Prior to February 2015, Burzachechi served as the vice president of Institutional Advancement & External Relations and was responsible for government relations and advocacy, public fundraising, institutional communications, public relations and marketing. In 2009, she was selected to co-chair Imagine & Achieve:

The Campaign for the Community College of Allegheny County, the largest and most successful fundraising initiative in the college’s 49-year history. The campaign raised over $43 million in funds for workforce development, general program enhancements, facility and infrastructure projects and additional endowment and unrestricted funds.

Burzachechi has held CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification since 1999 and is an attorney actively licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has worked in higher education for over 22 years, with 14 of those years at the college. Prior to joining CCAC, she held various positions with the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law and Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper Graduate School of Business.

An active member of American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), Burzachechi also served on the Board of Trustees of the Council for Resource Development (CRD). She is also a member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Pennsylvania Bar and Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Advisory Committee on Part-time Faculty, Pennsylvania Joint State Commission. Under her management, Institutional Advancement & External Relations has won numerous marketing and communications awards, including a Gold Paragon Award for Best Promotion Campaign for a Special Event.

Carol DiBattiste was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Legal, Privacy, Security, and Administrative Officer of Education Management on May 28, 2013. Ms. DiBattiste is responsible for oversight of the Company’s legal affairs, human resources, student financial services compliance, regulatory affairs compliance, and privacy and security functions. She joined the Company on March 18, 2013 as its Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.

She is a nationally-recognized expert in compliance and enterprise risk management, and brings extensive legal, compliance and leadership experience across the public and private sectors. Ms. DiBattiste was Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer for Geeknet, Inc., a publicly traded e-commerce business where she developed enterprise risk management and compliance programs, from 2011 to 2013. Ms. DiBattiste has served in executive privacy, security, compliance and legal roles at Reed Elsevier from 2008 to 2011, and ChoicePoint, Inc. from 2005 to 2008, where she also served as General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer until ChoicePoint was acquired by Reed Elsevier. Previously, from 2001 to 2003, she was a partner in the international law firm of Holland & Knight LLP where her specialties included government relations, corporate diversity counseling, and civil and criminal litigation.

In the public sector, Ms. DiBattiste served in many executive positions in the Departments of Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security. Her many distinguished roles included Under Secretary of the United States Air Force, Department of Defense, as confirmed by the U.S. Senate, where she led a $70 billion, 710,000-employee military and civilian department responsible for recruiting, training and education, and readiness, from 1999 to 2001.

Carol DiBattisteChief Legal, Privacy, Security & Administrative Officer Education Management Corporation

Ms. Dikun has more than 25 years of leadership experience in human resources, finance and management at a $10 billion private retailer; a $1.2 billion public company; and a Big-four public accounting firm. Ms. Dikun has strong expertise in the areas of talent acquisition and talent development; employee and labor relations; employee benefits; executive compensation; risk management; pension and trust investments; accounting and taxes and, financial planning. Her work experience with Giant Eagle includes Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Chief People Officer; Vice President, Talent Development & Labor Relations; Vice

President, HR Operations; Senior Director, HR Strategy & Operations; Director, Total Rewards; and Director, Benefits. In her current role, Ms. Dikun is responsible for leading the Human Resources department that serves more than 35,000 Team Members and consists of supervising 220 Team Members, directly and indirectly.

Ms. Dikun is very active in the Greater Pittsburgh community and works with various organizations, including Girls Hope of Pittsburgh as the founding President for their Young Leadership Board, and the FISA Foundation were she was recognized for her outstanding service. Her focus has been on organizations that support woman, minorities and people with disabilities. Ms. Dikun currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Blind and Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh as well as F.A.M.E.—the Fund for Advancement of Minorities through Education.

Lora’s recent accomplishments include: The founding of the Giant Eagle Team Member Care Fund, a non-profit which provides assistance for fellow Team Members that are facing severe financial hardship, for which she serves on the Board of Directors. Ms. Dikun is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, Class XXVIII and was also named one of the Top Women in Grocery 2012 by Progressive Grocer. Ms. Dikun has also earned the award for one of the 2014 Women of Influence in the Food Industry by The Griffin Report, as well as the 2014 Pennsylvania’s Leadership Excellence Award by the Pennsylvania Diversity Council. Most recently, Ms. Dikun was named one of the 2015 Most Influential Women in Business by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Katharine Fredriksen is the Senior Vice President, Health, Safety and Environmental Affairs for CONSOL Energy, Inc. She is responsible for the leadership, planning, direction, operation and strategy for the company’s health and safety policies and environmental strategy. She oversees corporate compliance, permitting, and related regulatory and legislative affairs within all business units of the company. She serves as the principal liaison with senior state and federal policy makers on HSE issues affecting the company.

Since joining CONSOL Energy, she has spearheaded the company’s annual Corporate Responsibility Report to further improve transparency on key performance metrics including safety and environmental compliance. She also brought the company’s safety and environmental management systems into compliance with internationally recognized OHSAS 18000 and ISO-14001 standards.

Ms. Fredriksen has over 20 years’ experience at senior levels of industry and government. Prior to joining CONSOL, she served as principal and founder of her own consulting company, CapitolPlus Consulting, representing clients with interests in energy and the environment. Previously, she served in the George W. Bush administration as Assistant Secretary and Principle Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Policy and International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she was the primary policy advisor to the Secretary and the Department on domestic and international energy issues and directed the Department’s international engagements. She also served as Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, advising the Secretary on domestic and international energy market and investment issues critical to America’s energy security. She has held positions with increasing responsibility in the energy and environment sectors in the petrochemical and utility sectors, specifically with former independent power producer Mirant Corporation, and with Koch Industries, a privately held conglomerate with oil, gas, and chemical interests, as well as in the public sector with the U.S. EPA.

Dawndra Jones DNP, RN, NEA-BC has been with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) for over 24 years working in multiple positions within the organization spanning from staff nurse to various nursing leadership and executive positions. Dr. Jones is currently the Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer of UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Her expertise is in leadership development, performance management, workforce planning and development and financial management. She has been a national conference speaker on various topics that include Nurse Manager Scope and Span of Control,

diversity and inclusion and various professional development and advancement strategies. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from Carlow University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in nursing administration with a minor in nursing informatics from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Nursing. Dr. Jones holds a Nurse Executive Advance certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She was awarded the Sister Rose Curran Graduate Nursing Leadership Award from Carlow University. She also received the Shirley Chisholm Award for mentoring grade school girls in the Pittsburgh community. Dr. Jones was recognized by the UPMC Center for Inclusion with the Nursing Partnership Award for being instrumental in promoting diversity and inclusion strategies within the nursing division. She was also recognized by the nursing division with the UPMC Leading with Wisdom Award. Currently Dr. Jones serves as a the co-chair for the state of Pennsylvania’s Action Coalition’s Diversity Council, member of the UPMC Board Inclusion & Diversity Committee, American Organization of Nurse Executives, Pittsburgh Public School’s Health Careers Technology Occupational Advisory Committee and she is the president of the Pittsburgh Black Nurses in Action, which is the local chapter of the National Black Nurses Association. She recently completed her terms on the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh Charter School Board of Directors.

Chrystiane Junqueira joined Alcoa in January 1994 after an internship program.

Starting out as Human Resource Analyst at Alcoa Latin America (Sao Paulo), Chrystiane worked on different Alcoa Business Units as HR Leader until July 1999 when she became the HR Manager at Pocos de Caldas plant, Brazil. On January 2004 Chrystiane joined the Alcoa Operational Consulting Team in Pittsburgh for an International Assignment. She returned to Brazil on June 2005 when she led the South America HR Transformation. In 2007, she was part of the Global Talent Management Team (Pittsburgh, PA). Her main

responsibilities were to manage the Global Performance, Career & Succession Management Process and Employee Engagement. Chrystiane led the 4Es and a P global implementation. On May 2011 she became Human Resources Director for Alcoa Building and Construction System, located in Norcross, GA. Most recently she joined GPP US as Human Resources Director and on October 2013 she became Vice-President of Human Resources for Global Primary Products. She is now located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Chrystiane was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on May 21, 1971. She graduated from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo Brazil, where she earned her bachelor in Business in 1993. She also earned a specialization degree in HR from Faculdade Getulio Vargas (FGV) in 1996 and a Master in Business Administration degree from Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) in 2007.

Chrystiane Junqueira Vice President, Human Resources Alcoa Global Primary Products, Pittsburgh

Allison McGee is Vice President of Client Services for a healthcare analytics start up where her focus is the strategic development of products and services as well as leading the operations and technical teams that provide customized analytics and consulting to their clients.

After “reinventing herself” several times along a varied career path, she has been in the healthcare informatics field for over 15 years and finds it motivating to be part of the transformation of healthcare. She served as VP of Client Services for Health Data Management Solutions (HDMS), a subsidiary of Aetna and as Executive

Director of the Blue Cross Blue Shield national data warehouse–Blue Health Intelligence.

Previously, she has been a Management Consultant, a Product Manager in the Chemical industry, has lead Business Process Re-engineering and Total Quality Management in a large corporation, and started in Financial Accounting. Each new direction was driven by a desire to gain new skills and work closer to the “front lines” of change.

And with a degree in Animal Science, each new role was a challenge and an opportunity to learn on the go, to ‘figure it out’ with the help of great mentors and colleagues. Each environment added to a diverse set of role models still influencing her today.

When not geeking out over her favorite science fiction characters, she spends her free time in outdoors adventures and supports her hobby by volunteering with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and as a board member of the Mt. Lebanon Nature Conservancy.

Dr. Irene McGee is the vice president of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) at Covestro LLC, formerly Bayer MaterialScience LLC. In this role, she is responsible for the overall management of the regional HSEQ organization, which includes Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs, Distribution Safety, Worker Safety, Security, HSEQ Management Systems and Customer Complaint Management. She also leads the central testing laboratories for the company.

McGee began her career at Bayer in 1987 as a senior process chemist and plant statistician at the New Martinsville, W. Va., facility. In 1998, she became the director of rigid foam marketing and application development for the Polyurethanes business unit of Bayer Corporation. Her career eventually led her to Pittsburgh, Pa., where McGee has held positions of increasing responsibility, including the director of business development for Insulation at Bayer Polymers, Americas. Prior to her current role, McGee served as the vice president of Bayer Material Science Research & Development and HSEQ management systems.

In addition to her daily responsibilities, McGee is the executive sponsor of the Covestro Women’s Initiative Networking Group at the Pittsburgh site. She also plays an active role in the community, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, and the Science and Advisory Committee for the ARCS Foundation. McGee is also the sponsor of Project SEED within Covestro. Project SEED, a program of the American Chemical Society, enables economically disadvantaged high school students to spend the summer working in a laboratory setting to expand their education and career outlook.

McGee received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of New Hampshire.

Dr. Irene McGeeVice President, Health, Safety, Environment & QualityCovestro LLC

Alicia Powell is Chief Counsel in PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.’s Asset Management Group, which provides banking and lending, investments, fiduciary, and family office services to individuals, corporate and municipal entities, and charities and foundations across the United States. She joined PNC in Pittsburgh in 2013, following over a decade at Reed Smith LLP, where she was a partner in the Investment Management Group.

Alicia is a seasoned leader, serving as Chair of PNC Legal’s award-winning Diversity & Inclusion Council, and acting as a member of PNC’s enterprise-wide Corporate Diversity Council (advisory council to PNC’s Chairman and CEO). At Reed Smith, Alicia Chaired the Pittsburgh Office’s Women’s Initiative.

Alicia earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Miami University, where she attended on a full academic scholarship.

Alicia has served on the Board of St. Clair Hospital, named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Thomson Reuters, and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Aviary.

Alicia is married to Colin Powell, founder and Managing Director of Pinnacle Accounting & Finance, a consulting and recruiting firm recently named one of Pittsburgh’s 100 fastest growing private companies by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Candi Castleberry Singleton is the founder and managing principal of the Dignity & Respect Campaign, a national organization dedicated to making the world a better place for ALL to live—with ALL of our differences. Based on the foundation of 30 Tips, the Campaign promotes dignity and respect for self, others, and communities.

Candi’s business acumen enhances her approach to partnering with senior executives, business process owners, and community leaders to build sustainable practices for the workplace and marketplace. She has

implemented successful initiatives as Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer at UPMC, at Motorola—where she was Vice President of Global Inclusion and Diversity—and at Sun Microsystems, where she led the Global Inclusion Center of Expertise. She has led teams in operations and talent development, and acquired extensive experience in sales management, product marketing and training at Xerox Corporation.

An experienced strategist, Candi created The Integrated Inclusion Model TM, a systems integration model that helps companies transition from compliance-driven processes led by human resources, to integrated activities that shift the responsibility for achieving an inclusive culture to every employee. The model is featured in her chapter of Crossing the Divide: Intergroup Leadership in a World of Difference (Harvard Business School Press, August 2009).

Candi is an international speaker, teacher, and mentor. She has delivered inspiring keynotes and lectures from Beijing to Budapest to Boston and serves as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University. She received an MBA from Pepperdine University, a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from UC Berkeley, and completed the Stanford University Executive Human Resources program.

William (Bill) Bates has a long history of international development experience in corporate real estate and construction and is currently employed as the Vice President of Real Estate for Eat’nPark Hospitality Group, Inc. He is an adjunct faculty member in Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture.

Previously, Mr. Bates held a similar position at Marconi Communications, Inc. (formerly FORE Systems, Inc.), where he managed the corporate facilities and property portfolio expansion from 28 to 150 global sites in five years. Prior to that he served as the Vice President of Strategic Facilities Planning at PNC Bank, the

Design and Construction Manager for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and a partner in a private architectural practice.

His volunteer efforts include service as Secretary of the Allegheny County Parks Foundation and the Presbyterian SeniorCare, the Chairman of the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation Development Board. He was recently elected Vice President of the national board of the American Institute of Architects and is a past President of the Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Boards of that organization, past President of the Green Building Alliance,

He is a past Vice President of the Allegheny Land Trust, a past board member of Associated Artist of Pittsburgh, past board member of the Pittsburgh Regional Clean Cities Council Board. He has also served appointments to numerous commissions for Mt Lebanon Township, the City of Pittsburgh, and Allegheny County and the Pittsburgh Airport Authority.

Mr. Dietz is a recognized technical and operational expert in the field of coal chemicals. His background has provided opportunities to leverage these skills to provide practical and effective solutions to the challenges of business.

Mr. Dietz’s experience spans North America, Europe and Asia, successfully executing business results while working across many cultures. While leading a European business unit for an international chemical company as a UK resident, Mr. Dietz significantly improved the regional market share, revenues by 60%, operating profit by 208% and operating margin of the business by 92%. Under his leadership the business unit integrated a new acquisition and acquire a regional competitor resulting in the growth of market share and strategically securing of raw materials. Of late he was responsible for the R&D, engineering and purchasing activities of an international industrial chemical company.

Mr. Dietz earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and Masters in Business Administration while employed as a chemical industry operations manager. Previous in leadership positions within his engineering and operating disciplines, he currently serves on the leadership committees for his local United Way and mentors Pitt business students. He and Barb have been married 33 years and they have two married children.

Dwight Douglas Hanshew, Jr. is a leader who puts the creation of trusting relationships at the center of life’s challenges. Dwight puts “Quality First” to work as a business model where the safety of patients and the public interest comes first, as is required when producing high quality medicines.

Dwight has spent his professional career working in the global pharmaceuticals industry. Over the past 25-years, he has held leadership roles in a wide variety of disciplines that include: Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Operations, Research and Development, Manufacturing Operations, and Pharmaceutical

Operations.

Dwight is currently Vice President, Global Research and Development Quality for Mylan, where he is developing and implementing a global quality management system for the critical GxP areas of Research and Development. Prior to rejoining Mylan, Dwight was as a Senior Consultant with Lachman Consultants (Westbury, NY) working with international pharmaceutical companies in the United States and abroad on Quality and Compliance. He specialized in advising pharmaceutical companies and management leaders in India. He also held multiple key leadership roles, culminating with Senior Vice President of Pharmaceutical Operations, at URL Pharmaceuticals (Philadelphia, PA), a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company.

Currently, Davie is the Senior Manager of Diversity and Inclusion at PNC. He has the overall corporate-wide management responsibility for the company’s employee business resource groups. He has managed the growth from 8 chapters in 2010 to 61 chapters in 20 of PNC’s markets with a combined membership of over 16,000 employees.

Davie joined PNC in 1997 as the Human Resource Manager in Community Banking, followed by a 10- year assignment as the Director of Strategic College Recruiting.

Prior to PNC, he held human resource positions with the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, Chase and Johnson & Johnson. Before starting his corporate career, he served as a Major in the United States Army and a high school teacher.

In addition to Pennsylvania, during his career he has lived in Kentucky, Maryland, Hawaii, Arizona, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

Davie’s formal education includes a B.S. in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a M.S. in Urban Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.

As Vice President of HC Pharmacy and Supply Chain Management (SCM) Commercial Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Dr. Mary Beth Lang is responsible for HC Pharmacy Central, Inc., a for-profit membership corporation and group purchasing organization that annually distributes $700 million in pharmaceuticals on behalf of its members. UPMC has appeared on the Top 25 Supply Chains of the Gartner Group the past four years, was named the 2012 Supply Chain Department of the Year by HPN, and received the 2012 Innovation Award by AHRMM

Prior to joining UPMC, Lang was President of Diagnostix at Amerinet and a Pharmacy Manager for the UPMC. She was a leader in the GS1 healthcare standards adoption efforts and served on the GS1US Healthcare Leadership Committee. The Journal of Healthcare Contracting named Lang as one of the Ten People to Watch in 2013. She is the chair-elect for the ARHMM Board of Directors.

Lang holds a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and Masters of Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Doctorate of Science in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University where she researched “Physicians’ Perceptions of Care Delivery Changes under Healthcare Payment Reform.”

Ron Lewis has more than 25 years of leadership and management experience within Westinghouse Electric Company. As Director, Global Real Estate and Facilities since

October 2015, he oversees significant real estate transactions and facilities management globally. Lewis’ key areas of responsibility include property acquisition and divestitures, lease administration, strategic portfolio analysis, facility maintenance, and space and occupancy planning.

Prior to his current position, Lewis served as Westinghouse vice president, Nuclear Power Plant Business and Project Development, where he was responsible for all aspects of business and project development for new nuclear plant opportunities in North and South America, Europe and the Middle East.

Lewis held additional progressively responsible leadership roles within the company, including vice president, Commercial Operations and Project Development; vice president, Nuclear Power Plant Product Strategy and Development; manager, Westinghouse Fuel Components Facility in Windsor, Conn. USA; Director, Supply Chain Management; and Westinghouse New England executive sponsor, leading operations at four U.S. sites. Lewis joined Westinghouse in 1989 in corporate accounting, and progressed to corporate audit, financial planning, and manufacturing production planning positions. Additionally he served as a director for organizations such as Brazil U.S. Business Council, United Way and key business ventures in Canada and Asia.

Rafeh Masood joined Dick’s in June 2013 and is responsible for store systems, mobility and driving innovation to enhance customer experience.

Prior to Dick’s, Rafeh served as Vice President of Integrated Retail Solutions at Sears Holdings where he was responsible for Retail Technology, Learning & Performance Management and Internal Communications functions to address the needs of 2000 Sears and Kmart stores with over 200,000 associates. Before Sears, Rafeh served as the Chief Procurement Officer and the head of Facilities Management for BAWAG

PSK, largest retail bank in Austria. He also worked for GNX (now Agentrics) where he was responsible for customer relationship management and deployment & management of e-Sourcing programs to top North American retailers. Some of his customers at GNX included: Sears, Kroger, Spencers Gifts, Costco, Canadian Tire, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobeys and Pathmark.

Kevin McDonald serves on the board executive committee of the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA), and is a member of PPG’s Women’s Leadership Committee and the PPG Global Ethics & Compliance committee.

Kevin joined PPG in 1980 as a sales representative in the Fiber Glass group and has remained with PPG his entire career. He has progressed through a broad range of assignments in the Fiber Glass strategic business unit – including sales management, marketing management, and as director of distribution. Kevin became

director of sales for Fiber Glass Reinforcements in 1995, and in 1999 became director of ZebraLink, a start-up business for PPG in the electronics sector.

Kevin was named PPG’s global general credit manager in 2002, and then director of government sales in 2006 where he focused on advancing sales opportunities across PPG into the government market segment. Prior to becoming vice president in March of 2014, Kevin served as Fiber Glass general manager since 2009 and was responsible for profit and loss (P&L) for the Americas and EMEA.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in business from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Kevin is an Indiana native and he and his wife, Christine, live in the Pittsburgh suburb of Marshall Township and have three daughters. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys running, golf, and plays competitive softball.

George Pry began his career with The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1977. Mr. Pry accepted the presidency of the Art Institute of Houston in 1980 and The Art Institute of Seattle in 1984. In 1989, he returned to his hometown, Pittsburgh, as Vice President and Director of Operations for the Education Management Corporation (EDMC) schools. At EDMC, the Art Institutes’ parent company, he opened Art Institutes in San Francisco, Minneapolis, Phoenix, New York City, and Chicago. In 1999, he returned to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as President and held that position until he retired in 2010. During his time at the Art Institute

of Pittsburgh, the college became regionally accredited and became a bachelor level college. After a brief retirement, he accepted his current position, Executive Vice President at Pittsburgh Technical Institute, a regionally accredited two-year career college with 2,000 students in Oakdale, PA.

Mr. Pry has served as a Commissioner for The Accreditation Commission for Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (Washington, DC); a Commissioner and Chairman of the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (Washington, DC) and a member and the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Board of Private Licensed Schools; and sat on the Board of Directors for The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. He was publically elected and served for eight years as a School Director including two years as Board President for the Baldwin Whitehall School District. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for Carlow University, a position he has held since 2006, where he served as its Chairman for two years.

Mr. Pry earned his B.A. in Counseling Psychology at St. Fidelis College in Herman, PA, and his M.A. in Clinical and Community Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He resides with his family in Whitehall, PA, and is a native of West Sunbury, PA.

Yasmin S. Purohit is Robert Morris University’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Title IX Coordinator and a Professor of Human Resource Management in the University’s School of Business. She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Sciences from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She also has a Masters in Organizational Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Child Psychology from Pune and Mumbai Universities, respectively.

In her role as the university’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Dr. Purohit is responsible for developing and planning diversity and inclusion projects and initiatives at RMU while serving as the chair of the University’s Inclusion Council. One of her first initiatives in the CDIO role was to conduct a campus-wide research study to create the first RMU diversity inventory and database. This diversity inventory will serve as the foundation guiding the University’s first diversity strategic plan. In addition to being actively engaged in shaping RMU’s diversity footprint, Dr. Purohit remains involved in activities and events centered on diversity and inclusion with organizations such as Vibrant Pittsburgh, The Ellis School, and the Community Relations Council (CRC) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh to name a few. Pittsburgh Urban Media recently saluted Dr. Purohit’s accomplishments during their Women’s History Month in March 2015. She also serves as the focal person for coordinating RMU’s responses to all its Title IX requirements—from responding to Title IX incident reports to policy development and implementation.

Dr. Purohit’s teaching and research areas include human resource management, organizational diversity, work-family conflict, and cross-cultural differences in organizations. She has presented papers at several conferences both in the U.S. and internationally, and has published articles in several journals on topics such as factors contributing to diversity, work-family issues, formal organizational support initiatives, and the role of denial in organizational leaders.

Dr. Woo, has been Vice President, Corporate Accounts at Thermo Fisher Scientific since January 2009, having joined the Company in December 2003 Since January 2015, a new role was created for her, focused on expanding the scientific engagement between her Company and their most strategic, global biopharma clients. Prior to this she had global commercial responsibility for a select number of clients, consistently driving growth through innovation. Other roles at Thermo Fisher have included the Vice President of Sales, Biotechnology Segment (Apr 2004-Dec 2008); Vice President of Life Sciences, Application Specialists (Apr

2006-Dec 2008); and Senior Director of Marketing (Dec 2003-Mar 2004). Prior to Thermo Fisher, she served in various senior level commercial positions in marketing and business development for a Pittsburgh biotechnology start-up company, Cellomics, from March 1998 to November 2003. Here, she served as technical spokesperson for her Company in a role that marked her transition from academia to the private sector.

Dr. Woo served on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh’s Medical School in the Department of Pharmacology from 1996-1998, where in the 4 years prior she also completed her post-doctoral studies in experimental therapeutics for cancer. She received her graduate degree in pharmacology from the George Washington University, and baccalaurate from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Woo currently serves on the board of directors for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, and the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse, where she is Chair of their Nominating Committee and member of the Executive Committee and Compensation Committees. She maintains active membership in the Association for Women in Science, serving as the liaison between this organization and Thermo Fisher. She is a frequent lecturer and invited speaker on the topics of “Women in Science” and “Alternative Careers in Science.”

Kurt Small is senior vice president of health plan operations for Highmark Inc., where he is accountable for end-to-end service delivery across the health plan business including its individual, commercial and senior market segments. In addition to the Highmark health plan, Kurt is also responsible for service delivery across select functions on behalf of other Blue Cross Blue Shield company health plans who are in partnership with Highmark.

Led by Small, health plan operations includes over 3,500 employees focused on delivering an enhanced customer experience and improved outcomes for 5.3 million members. Committed to operational excellence, the team performs leading business processes, supported by advanced analytics, in the areas of benefits administration, enrollment and billing, claims processing and adjustments, and customer service.

Small previously worked at Aetna as vice president and head of claims and provider services, where he was responsible for service delivery to more than one million physicians, hospitals and health care professionals. He has also held leadership positions with AT&T and Verisign, and he began his career at Morgan Stanley.

Small holds a bachelor’s degree from The College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in business administration from Yale University. He is a trustee of the Winchester Thurston School and has served on the board for the Interval House, Connecticut’s largest non-profit domestic violence intervention and prevention organization.

Susan Yohe is the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, PC, responsible for assisting Firm leadership in attracting, recruiting, retaining, nurturing, engaging and elevating diverse talent across the Firm’s 19 offices and 11 practice areas. Before assuming this position in November 2014, Susan was a full-time lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in the courtroom, in both federal and state courts and at both the trial and appellate level. Previously, Susan was the managing shareholder of the firm’s largest office in Pittsburgh and was chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. She was and continues to

be both a formal and informal mentor to lawyers in the firm.

Throughout her career as a lawyer, Susan represented clients in a wide range of industries in a wide range of matters. She has been selected in multiple years as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, as well as one of the Best Lawyers in America in commercial litigation. In 2014, she was named a BTI Client Service All-Star, a list of lawyers identified through interviews with corporate counsel who are recognized as outstanding service providers. She was also a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Western Pennsylvania.

Susan is active in the community, currently serving on the boards of the Women and Girls Foundation and the Society for Contemporary Craft. She is the chair of the Advisory Committee of the Pennsylvania Center for Women in Politics at Chatham University. She has been active for many years in the Allegheny County Bar Association, primarily in connection with committees focused on ensuring opportunities for women and diverse lawyers to advance in their careers.
