Person who has most influenced you: Martha Squire, she is very wise, strong, creative, and insightful. I’ve learned so much from her from our Sunday mornings together and I am blessed to know her.

Parents: Maya & Ethan Johnston High School: Roosevelt High School Plans for next year: Studying Environmental Policy at the University of Iowa.Favorite hobby/pastime: Watching The Office, snacking, hanging with friends and family, and taking my dog on nature walks. Favorite high school accomplishment: Putting on a successful Sharks pageant! And graduating with a good GPA. Favorite UMYF/Grace UMC memory: I have so many! My first work trip was so fun. On the drive up to Tennessee I got to know all the girls and we had like a 10 hour jam sesh in the backseat of the van. Also in Hawaii stargazing with some of the girls was super magical. Favorite Des Moines restaurant: Cool Basil Favorite movie and why: Pocahontas! Because it teaches respect for Moth-er Earth! The animation is so lovely, Pocahontas is a wise, independent woman, and it just has a great message about respecting other people in spite of differences. Also Anchorman because it'’s hilarious. Advice for younger Grace youth: Appreciate the kids and adults in youth group because there's no cooler group around. Person who has most influenced you: My parents. Throughout my whole life they have been there to guide me and support me through everything. They have taught me to treat all people with kindness, and showed me what it means to genuinely care about someone. They also introduced me to great music! �++++++�
