The LifeLine Canada Foundation (TLC) is a registered non-profit committed to positive mental health and suicide prevention in Canada and Worldwide. The Foundation works on newly developed initiatives such as: The LifeLine Mobile App (The Free National Suicide Prevention and Awareness App) and Companion Paws Canada.

Companion Paws Canada is dedicated to supporting Canadians in need while providing a second chance for pets by rescuing, training and pairing them with those who would benefit from a companion therapy animal. TLC's Companion Paws Canada program is growing and we are working to expand our program into Ontario and Alberta.

Starting in Summer of 2017, Okanagan College in Starting in Summer of 2017, Okanagan College in Penticton will be offering Companion Paws Canada Therapy Dog courses and workshops for our Companion Paws Canada trainers and home providers, new handlers of our therapy dogs as well as for individuals with their own dog to train and go through our CPC assessment for visiting therapy. 

September is Suicide Prevention Month.

When it comes to suicide prevention and positive mental health, every day matters. In honor of Benefit for Life Day, World Suicide Prevention Day and Suicide Prevention Month, we thank those that work in our communities and take action every day.

In honor of Benefit for Life Day, World Suicide Prevention In honor of Benefit for Life Day, World Suicide Prevention Day and Suicide Prevention Month, The LifeLine Canada Foundation (TLC) will host the Benefit for Life gala at Manteo Resort in Kelowna on September 9th. Manteo Resort, Kelowna City Hall and the downtown Kelowna Sails will be lit up in purple from September 9th through September 10th.

Benefit for Life Day will also include an Online Campaign Benefit for Life Day will also include an Online Campaign for youth and communities across Canada with an initiative to bring awareness to available tools, resources and programs.

On World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10, The On World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10, The Kelowna community shows solidarity with the “Leave Your Light On” campaign, encouraging the community to leave their exterior lights on between 8pm and 11pm in honor of those who feel lost, loved ones who have been lost or who have been saved and for grieving friends, family and communities.

Cutting through the myths about suicide and learning Cutting through the myths about suicide and learning how to talk to those that are struggling with depression and anxiety is part of the key to stemming the tide.
