Free Delivery We will deliver free to a 250 miles radius of our ranch on all bulls $1500 and over at our convenience and co-operate with the buyer to get full delivery at a minimal cost. Haul your own bull on sale day and receive a $25 discount. Bulls may be returned to the ranch after the sale, and they will be cared for at no cost until May 10th. Our Super Bull Guarantee will apply. A fee of $1.50/hd/day will be charged after May 10th. Later delivery will be at the buyer’s expense.

Conditions The cattle will be sold singly or in pairs or groups to suit the buyers. The auctioneer will settle disputes as to bids by declaring all bids off and reselling the animal in question. Bar JZ Ranches reserves the right to reject any bid.

Catalog Material Special care has been taken to insure accuracy in the matter of EPDs, pedigrees, and other information included in this catalog. Any corrections will be announced on sale day. Bar JZ will not be responsible for catalog errors.

Health of the Cattle The cattle have been calfhood vac-cinated for 7-way clostridium, IBR, BVD, PI3, BRSV, haemophilus, pasteurella and poured with ivermection. Bulls have been semen tested. Health papers will be available.

Super Bull Guarantee This guarantee is designed to take the risk of of buying a better bull. All bulls are fully guaranteed breeders for the first breeding season. If a bull should prove other-wise, satisfactory replacement will be made. In addition, all Bar JZ bulls are guaranteed for the first breeding season against accidents, death or dissatisfaction for any reason. We reserve the right to require a bull be returned to Bar JZ Ranches at the buyer’s expense, before any exchanges or price adjustments are made. Registration papers must be returned if the bull is registered. We will give you an adjustment, that can be used to purchase another bull, of 75% of the purchase price minus the weight at date of purchase, times 75¢ per pound. For example, if you buy a 1000 pound bull for $2000, and he dies during the first breeding season, he will be adjusted as follows:

$2000 (purchase price) x 75% = $15001000 lbs. (purchase weight) x 75¢ = -750 Credit to purchase a new bull = $750

If the bull did not die, but could be sold, the buyer would also have the market value to apply to a new bull. Minimum exchange price will be $250. To qualify for adjustment, we must be notified of intent to have the bull adjusted and allowed to examine said bull. In case of death, buyer must furnish proof to our satisfaction.

Terms Terms are cash or check. Please make settlement for the cattle prior to leaving or loading out.

Volume Discount 5% will apply to each bull after 3 head.

Liability We will do our best to see there are no accidents (and we have never had one), but we will not be reponsible for any accidents that might occur. You attend at your own risk.

Spring 2010

Fellow Cattlemen:

As of today, March 10th, we are three days away from our official “due date” on the

380 head of cows and heifers. There is mud, snow, and ice water everywhere, and 40

plus new babies have hit the ground. Surprisingly, some of them were actually able to

get themselves up and out of the mud and nurse without having to be brought into the

calving shed. It’s a good thing that Hereford and Limousin cattle are tough and have the

will to live.

The sale bulls have done well this past winter in spite of a colder winter than normal.

We are offering bulls by several new sires in both breeds this year. The ultrasound data

came back this week and looks exceptionally good. The bulls will be semen tested later

this month. As in the past we will deliver the sale bulls 250 miles free, and co-operate

to get the bulls to further locations as inexpensively as possible. Bulls can be left at the

place free of charge until May 10th and longer at a rate of $1.50 per head per day. A new

feature this year is the credit of $100 toward the purchase of a bull in the sale for each

old bull you sell between March 10th and April 20th. A copy of the sale receipt must be

presented sale day, and only one credit may be used per bull purchased. Volume discounts

will be given at the rate of 5% on each bull purchased after the 3rd.

2010 Zilverberg Family Album

Seth, with a little help from Don and Grandpa Ralph, is building a new house on the south ranch. Cody continues working on his PhD in agronomy while doing research at the Texas Tech Experiment Station near Lubbock. Wesley will start her med school rotations in July. Fr. Kevin was transferred to Sacred Heart Parish in Aberdeen last summer and serves as the associate pastor there. Don & Peg rode their Goldwing 2000+ miles in August on a trip to Lubbock via Hereford, Texas to visit Cody & Wes. Abby, a border collie puppy bred on the Schott Ranch, joined our family. John writes weekly letters to the editor, maintains a blog, golfs, and plays pool and cards at the Highmore Senior Center. We are blessed.
