The year 1959 finds Carty andhis four full time employees ca.r-ing for about 12,000 books a¡d. agrowing clrculation. During thelast school year use of the Ii-brary has l¡creased 30 percent.

La.st year a total of 2,000 bookswere added to the library. Thebudget allows between 800 antl1,200 books to be purcha.sed a¡dthe number depends upon p¡'lce.

Working with Carty a¡d hlsstaff are 12 studente ln the ll-brary science class. Each studentworks one b.our a day. Four stu-dents aFe also employed parttime.
