REFLECTION Community duty is one of the most stressful but fun duty because you have a lot to do, at the same time you will learn a lot of thing about peoples way of life. Also community duty, teach us teach us how to interact with other people that we cannot get through the social network, because in community we interact personally to each other. For two days we have been assigned in San Joaquin, this place will be the new adapted community of Aquinas University and we will be here for a long time, first we and our clinical went to the Barangay Captain to inform him about our intention to their community and also for formality and legal purposes. By doing this it shows our acknowledgement to the officials of the barangay, and to show them our respect because one of the major tasks in community is to build a trusting relationship to the people. And by doing this act is another way of saying that they can trust us. After asking permission we went to the Barangay hall to get some information about their community and also while on our way to the Hall we observe the place and it seems peaceful but the people need to be active in their community. By doing this observation we will learn what are the things we need to do in order to help them and their community. After our Clinical Instructor talked to some officials we take a break and plan for our next visit. On our next visit we interviewed some people in the community and we are glad because we learned that they are open for any help or activities that Aquinas can give to them. Also those interviews will help us to determine their concerns on and the actions we need to do I order to help them. Being able to apply our learning is one of the greatest things because we can now see that after so many years of studying we have something that we can share to our nation and someday to the world. Humanity is about caring and sharing, and we should share what we learned especially to all nursings student because we have a huge part in the life of all the people around us.James Norman C.
