Participants will post their lessons to our district’s public folder in order for other teachers to access. Additionally, participants will work toward improving their overall teaching and learning proficiencies on the Texas STaR Chart. (Professional Development) Responsible

Provide professional development session to beginning teachers. This will be a basic session to allow teachers to become familiar with software and determine what core subject they will integrate technology into.

Provide professional development session to continue learning for beginners as well as adding information for intermediate level learners. Newcomers to the session will come with a predetermined core subject idea to prepare technology lesson.

Sept. 2011

Continue professional development, but on a higher level. This class will only be offered to our advanced staff members that would like to build on activities that will integrate the Smart Board software into their core content. In addition to this, these teachers who complete this course will take their developed lessons back to their grade level and present them at a grade level meeting. The best overall project will present at a faculty meeting.

Teachers will present their technology based lesson to their grade level or quad. One teacher will also be asked to present to the entire faculty to show an example of what technology integration looks like. This will also allow educators to work toward our CIP of moving to Advanced Tech on the STaR Chart

Final Evaluation will be the data gathered from STaR Chart the following year when teachers have had a chance to implement and use the technology in their classroom
