Alexis Lewis B.S.Five-Year Career Goals

On April 29th I will be graduating from Johnson University with an M.A. in clinical

mental health counseling. Before I graduate I plan to have take the NCE and pass enabling

me to graduate as a National Certified Counselor. I hope to get hired as a counselor

specifically working with trauma and trauma based diagnosis for ages 3 and older, this

could be work with survivors of sexual assault, child hood abuse and neglect, domestic

violence, war trauma and or emotional and psychological abuse. Upon graduation I will

seek to be certified in EMDR and CBT. In addition I will seek licensure as a professional

counselor, which I hope to get in 2-3 years. I plan to continue to lead trauma focused

therapy groups and continue to hone my practice in the mental health community.
