Global warming, pollution and land degradation should be of a concern to all

of us as we only have one planet to live on.

Mankind has been destroying the Earth to obtain its natural resources for

centuries and now at an ever increasing rate as the worlds population grows.

We have already brought to extinction countless species of animals and

destroyed 90% of the planets natural rain forests.

Over cultivated our valuable farm lands, turning the land barren as salinity

rises, which is then unable to support crop growth or pastures for grazing.

Over fished and polluted our seas and rivers, depleted our fresh water

supplies by global warming and climate change.

Many of our major cities have air that is so full of pollutants it’s hardly fit to

breathe and this pollution is causing dramatic health issues for the population

which in turn increases the strain on our medical services.

One wonders where its all going to end ?

UBS set out on a mission to develop a Construction System that would

reduce the amount of carbon emissions into our atmosphere and decrease the

total amount of raw materials used in construction.

1) Wall block and panel systems

2) Fence panels – including LED lighting where required (panels only 40mm thick)

3) Flooring panels – suspended slab integrated formwork where the underside becomes the ceiling of the room below.

4) Roofing panels - that can become the ceiling of the room below.

5) Columns and Beams - sizes as required

6) Under slab pod system – which reduce the amount of concrete used.

MGO cements are a ancient building material developed hundreds of years ago.

Some of the oldest structures still standing today used this material within its construction due to its extreme strengths, durability and longevity.

The Great Wall of China was constructed using MgO cement to bind its bricks together as did many of the oldest buildings throughout Europe.

Taipei 101- until recently the tallest building in the world used MGO panels on all 101 floors inside and outside.

MGO cements are the way forward in construction .

Over 60% of carbon dioxide emissions from industrial processes in 2006 is attributed to cement manufacture.

That is one of the reasons why MGO cements are considered Green , they do not add excess carbon dioxide emissions the same as cement.

UBS blocks can be finished with virtually any type of finishing product required.

The photo on the left shows a textured paint , flat paint and tiled finish on our display walls.

Tiles can be applied directly to the machine finished blocks with a normal tile adhesives.

Very little preparation is needed to apply a painted finishes,.

UBS has developed a channel system which fits to the UBS blocks similar to how children's Lego fits together.

This provides complete flashing to all windows and doors when they are installed.

Further development will see these frames made from a fire retarded extra strong extruded PVC material,.

A common problem with conventional rendered brick walls is damp wall rot, this problem dose no only incur expensive repair bills, it can harbor molds that cause health issues for its occupants

UBS MgO coatings are formulated to prevent damp wall. MgO will not support mold or fungal growth.

Conventional Build Conventional Build –– V V –– UBS UBS To improve the thermal rating of brick walls insulation needs to be installed between the bricks adding an additional stage to the construction process ,as well as additional expense.

UBS wall blocks are fully insulated, they are designed to minimize thermal bridging within the wall and depending upon the EPS the density used will provide a R-value of 7+. Higher R –values can be achieved by increasing the EPS density during the blocks manufacturing process.

Additional concrete floors within a building project require the floor to be formed using time consuming and expensive formwork that needs to be built then removed after the concrete is poured and cured. (time & money)

UBS has developed extra strong coatings for its construction material system.

Using specially formulated Magnesium Oxide based mixtures that provide , mold , mildew, insect , water and fire resistance, with a strength far stronger than cement coatings.

The coating is considered eco friendly and good for the environment.

Its extremely safe to use – unlike cement based materials.

This Simple display shows how structural our blocks are once they have been filled with concrete and reinforcing steel.

We have simply cut away one side of a section on one of our Blocks to give you an internal view of the concrete structure.

Footing ,walls and roofing are all designed to be connected with steel reinforced concrete Providing a structure not unlike a roll cage for a race car !
