Georgia Standard of Excellence and
Cherokee County Standards. Each day we are instructing
our students to prepare them for their future successes.
WE ARE A LEARNING FOCUSED SCHOOL• We use research based strategies
to engage students in learning.• We use technology such as the
Promethean Boards, Active table, computer labs, iPads, video conference equipment, and Activotes to activate students’ prior knowledge and check understanding.
• Students will keep Math Journal.• This will have notes and graphic organizers to help them with homework/classwork.
• It will also be a good resource to study for tests.
• Homework will be given on as needed basis.
• Look on back pocket of red folder for HW assignments.
FISH BOWL QUIZZES

• These questions are from a pool of 100 questions of what the students need to know by the end of the year.

integrate all subjects (Reading, Language Arts and Social Studies) into our STEM program.
Topics being discussed in different subjects will then be expanded and enhanced by additional STEM like activities and projects. This type of cross curricular instruction will help students put a “STEM” Spin on all subject areas.
