California ALL is a new state wide non-profit devoted to being the catalyst for programs that increase the educational achievements of diverse individuals throughout the education pipeline from preschool to careers and professions. “Ruthe brings a blend of experience from the legal profession, academic administration, community leadership and expertise in the formation of diversity pipeline programs to California ALL,” said Victor Miramontes, Vice Chairman of City View and Board Chair, California ALL. She has the vision and relationships to bring together the broad spectrum of industry leaders necessary for California ALL to impact education in the State,” added Miramontes. California ALL emerged from a partnership of the California Public Utilities Commission, California Public Employees Retirement System, the State Bar of California, and the California Department of Insurance and seeks to ensure the availability of highly educated workers and leaders from the State’s diverse communities. California ALL serves an unmet need in the State by bringing stakeholders together to communicate, connect, and share resources, ideas, and the tools needed to build complete educational pipelines. The program will identify, fund, and create opportunities to replicate programs devoted to ensuring diverse students excel along the 20 year education pipeline from preschool to career pathways in law, financial services and technology. This unique statewide model brings the professions into collaboration with the private and public sector as well as the education system. I am honored to be able to lead California ALL as it fills the need for finding best practices, funding and replicating these best practices and facilitating important collaborations along the pipeline from pre school to the professions,” said Ashley. “It is truly humbling to work with this group of dedicated leaders from education, finance, law, public utilities and technology in impacting education in California and to help in building a competent workforce and leaders for our future,” added Ashley. California ALL was founded in January of 2008 through the generous donations and support of AT&T, DLA Piper LLP, PG&E, Sempra, Southern California Edison, and Verizon.
