4.1 milliontotal people in need
165,546 registered families with almost 1 million individuals are currently displaced in Kyber Pakhtunkwa (KP) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) as a result of ongoing insecurity since 2008. More than 1.4 million people have returned to FATA since 2009. 1.61 million Afghan refugees remain in Pakistan, of whom UNHCR assists 592,648 in 81 refugee villages. 1.5 million people were affected in recent floods in 2013 (NDMA). In addition 138,372 people have been affected by earthquakes in Balochistan (NGO assessment).
