Thursday July 5, 2018 4 DISTRICTS Missing, kidnapped girls traced STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR/NOWSHERA: Police on Tuesday traced a girl who went missing from Chenani while rescued an anoth- er girl who was kidnapped from Nowshera by arresting the accused. According to a report, a complaint was lodged by family over missing of their girl from village Sarar in Chenani. On it a missing case was registered at Police Post Sudhmahadev and search was started. Police team comprising of Sgct. Achal Kumar and Sgct. Lal Din led by SI Balbir Antal In-Charge Police Post under the supervision of DySP Chenani Chanderjeet Singh SDPO conducted raids at various suspect- ed locations and traced the missing girl from village Charota Tehsil Assar. She was brought back to Police Post Sudhmahadev and handed over to her family after proper legal procedure. Meanwhile, a complaint was received at Police Station Nowshera from a family about kidnapping their 11th class by unknown person during intervening night from her resi- dence. In this connection an FIR number 123/18 under sec- tion 363 RPC was registered in the Police Station Nowshera and all Nakas were alerted by SHO Police Station Nowshera. A police team was also deputed by Inspector Romal Singh SHO Police Station Nowshera under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Khaliq Choudhary, ASP Nowshera Master Popsy and overall supervision of SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas to trace the said girl. After hectic effort police team succeeded to apprehend the kidnapper namely Gagan Singh son of Sher Singh resident of Barnai Jammu and recovered the said girl from Sunderbani area. 12 bovines rescued, 3 smugglers nabbed STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: Police on Wednesday rescued 12 bovines ani- mals at Jakheni Chowk on national highway on Wednesday in Udhampur. According to a report, a party of Udhampur Police Station led by SHO Vijay Choudhary under the supervision of Dy.SP (HQ) Kulbir Hand laid a surprise Naka at Jakhani Chowk on NHW, Udhampur for checking of vehicles. During checking, police intercepted one truck (JK02A-9681) and during search 12 bovines were found loaded in it which were rescued. Three persons namely Surinder Singh son of Santok Singh , Joginder Singh son of Teja Singh resident of Rangpur, R S Pura Jammu and Shakeel Ahmed son of Mohd. Farooq resi- dent of Talwara Reasi were arrested and a case vide FIR No. 307/2018 under section 188 RPC 3PCA Act was registered against them. Scooty rider injured in mishap STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: A scooty rider got injured when he was hit by a truck at New Bus Stand. The injured has been identified as Pardeep Singh 30 son of Jai Singh resident of Kheli Mandi Samba. According to a report, during Tuesday night a scooty with- out registration number hit a truck at Samba near New Bus Stand resulting in the scooty rider getting injuries. He was shifted to District Hospital Samba with the help of locals from where doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment. Police has taken cognisance in the matter and started investigation. Police recovers two stolen vehicles STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: Police on Wednesday recovered two stolen vehicles from Samba and handedover to Punjab Police. According to a report, a party of Punjab Police Station Sudhar Ludhiana reported at Police Station Samba regard- ing the theft of one Mahindra Bolero Pick Up (PB10FF- 1377) and one Ertica (PB11CB- 5800) from Sudhar Police Station Ludhiana. Acting on it, a team headed by Inspector Chanchal Singh SHO Police Station Samba traced and recov- ered both the vehicles from Industrial Area Samba. The vehi- cles were handedover to Punjab Police which were stolen from jurisdiction of Sudhar Police Station Ludhiana under FIR No 75/2018 under section 457/380 IPC and FIR No 95/2018 under section 457/380 IPC at Police Station Sudhar Ludhiana. The whole operation was conducted under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Anil Magotra and close supervision of DSP Headquarter Samba Deepak Digra. Youth attempts suicide STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: A 29 years old boy attempted suicide by consuming poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at his house in Mandi Kheli area of Samba. According to a report, Rajinder Singh son of Jagdish Singh resident of Mandi Kheli Samba consumed poisonous sub- stance at his house to end his life. On seeing him lying uncin- cious his family members immediately shifted him to District Hospital Samba from where doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment. Police has taken cognisance in the matter and started investigation. STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: To take stock of ground situation in far-off areas, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana on Wednesday listened to public issues here at Tehsil Nagseni. He was accompanied by SSP Kishtwar Abrar Ahmed Choudhary, ADDC Imam Din, ACD, CPO, Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY, PDD, PHE, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, CEO ,CHO, Tehsildar Nagseni, BDO Nagseni and officials of other departments. A large number of people from across the Tehsil project- ed problems pertaining to PMGSY and R&B Roads, Education Department, shortage of staff in health department. They also sought adequate early release of com- pensation for acquired land, supply of kerosene oil, black- topping of roads, proper func- tioning of health, veterinary and social welfare centres, replacement of damaged drinking water pipes, electric poles, smooth functioning of Anganwari centres, issuance of character certificates to unemployed youth at nearest police posts and many more alike. The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers of the dis- trict administration to put their best in resolving the issues raised by the people. He particularly impressed upon them to show keen inter- est in ensuring quality of developmental works in rural pockets. The DC assured the public that the land compensation cases will be taken up on pri- ority. He issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments to complete the documentation of the com- pensation for land acquired for roads and other projects. Taking a strong note on lack of awareness about the gov- ernment schemes among the villagers, the DC asked the ACD to launch massive awareness drive to educate the people about the same. Responding to demands related to education sector, the DC directed ZEO to immediately install the bio metric machines in all the schools to eradicate absen- teeism in schools as com- plained by the locals. He asked the ZEO to detach all the teachers and send them to their original place of posting . He further warned of strict action if any teacher fails to report at his original place of posting. Regarding Revenue Department services, the DC directed officials of the department to expedite the process for issuing PRCs to villagers at their door steps through Patwaris. Meanwhile, responding to other issues, the DC asked AEE PHE to clean all the water reservoirs within five days to avoid the water born diseases and sub- mit report. The CMO Kishtwar was directed to keep stock of AVS (Anti venom Serum) in the subcentres Padyarna and PHC Kiru. ARTO Kishtwar was direct- ed to ask the private trans- porters to ply vehicles on iden- tified places during emer- gency. The people were assured that the youth can get character certificates for employment and other pur- poses at the nearest police station. Meanwhile, the DC and SSP Kishtwar congratu- lated the public of Tehsil Nagseni for start of work on hydro electric power project in the area which would help to mitigate the problem of unemployment among local youth. STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Army rescued stranded travellers and vehi- cles at KM 35 near Behramgala in Poonch dis- trict on Mughal Road, on the intervening night of July 3 and 4, 2018. Army also pro- vided medical aid to the injured and comforts in terms of blankets and food to stranded persons. On the night of 03 Jul 2018 at around 10:00 PM, a massive land slide had taken place at KM 35 on the Mughal Road. About 50 vehicles and large number of travellers got stranded on the stretch. A desperate call for help was received by the army, who immediately sprang into action and reached the land slide area. The rescue operation was ably assisted by J&K Traffic Police and BRO personnel from Surankote. The rescue operation which was conducted under the hours of darkness and harsh weather conditions lasted till early hours of July 4 , 2018 and all persons and vehicles stranded were safely evacu- ated. STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Army rescuedstranded travellers and vehi-cles at KM 35 nearBehramgala in Poonch dis-trict on Mughal Road, on theintervening night of July 3and 4, 2018. Army also pro-vided medical aid to theinjured and comforts interms of blankets and food tostranded persons.

On the night of 03 Jul2018 at around 10:00 PM, amassive land slide had takenplace at KM 35 on theMughal Road. About 50vehicles and large number of

travellers got stranded on thestretch. A desperate call forhelp was received by thearmy, who immediatelysprang into action andreached the land slide area.The rescue operation wasably assisted by J&K TrafficPolice and BRO personnelfrom Surankote.

The rescue operation whichwas conducted under thehours of darkness and harshweather conditions lasted tillearly hours of July 4 , 2018and all persons and vehiclesstranded were safely evacu-ated.
