Artist ExhibitionThis project will introduce the student to a wide variety of artists from all walks of style and media, over thelast several centuries. With a little research, the child will record each artists birth country, art style, generaltechniques, and the works they are best known for.**CAUTIONATTENTION PARENTS: You will most likely want to do determine what level of research your child is mature enough for,as many works of art are of nude figures and may not be acceptable for young eyes. General online research will definitely turn upseveral images of nudity. You may find that particular books are more apt to be child-friendly. I highly recommend that you previewanything you offer your child, or perhaps pre-visit and bookmark online sites that you have considered acceptable.

SUPPLIES: - 17 copies of Exhibition-1 on colored paper (**see below) with Exhibition-2 on thereverse side (booklets)

    - 1 copy of Exhibit-3 and Exhibit-4 on white paper (artists) - 1 copy of Exhibit-5, preferably printed in color on white paper

(black and white will work if that is all you have available (masterpieces) - 1 copy of Exhibit-6 on white paper (masterpieces) - pencil - scissors - exacto knife - cutting surface - glue sticky or double-sided sticky tape - colored pencils (optional)

**You may wish to divide the colors according to art style! Our Lap BookTM

    shows the figures divided asfollows:

    DIRECTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY:

    1. Once your Artist Booklets have been printed on bothfront and back, cut out around each one and cut out INSIDE offrame. Fold in an accordion fashion like shown.

    2. Cut out the artists from Exhibit-3 and Exhibit-4 andadhere each on its corresponding color (if you are categorizing bycolor)on the panel behind the frame. Color them in if desired.

    3. You can either research masterpieces of the 33 artists and print them out at approximately 1-1/2 x2-1/4. I have provided many pieces to get you started, however being that this publication is for the public, Iam limited to what I can use by permission or specific public domain sources. Therefore, there are just a fewyou will need to find on your own! This will also allow you to find other works of each artist or replace someof my black-and-white options!

    4. Finally, research the birthplace, art style, popular medium, and names of works of each artist and listyour findings on the last panel.

Once completed, store your Exhibition Booklets aside in a ziplock bag for inclusion in your Lap Book TM.
