I have been employed by the Lauderdale County School System for 28 years as an office secretary at Northeast Elementary. I am honored to have been the first African American chosen to serve in this position. My duties included but were not limited to data entry such as disciplinary forms, student checkDin and check out information and attendance, and bus driver payroll. However, the most satisfying duty I performed was that of a school bus driver. The relationships that I have formed with my students and their parents over the years have

I have enjoyed working as a Guidance Counselor at Northeast Elementary for the past 23 years. Prior to that I worked as an Elementary Teacher at Northeast Elementary for three years and the Vocational Counselor for one year serving Northeast High School and Clarkdale Attendance Center. The total number of contract years with Lauderdale County Schools has been 27 years. I want to thank the District and Northeast for allowing me the privilege of serving the students and working with the Administration and Staff. It has been a good work experience for me and I have been blessed to serve this community. It is bittersweet to retire, but my family needs me to be at home and I feel it is time to move on to the next stage of my life. Thanks again for entrusting me with the opportunity to work for

I have taught Physical Education at Northeast Elementary for the last 9 years.

Lisa Rawlings

I have taught at Northeast Elementary for 28 years. I have taught kindergarten, second, third and fourth grades. I have looped several times and loved every minute of that. I enjoy working with my partner teachers and have learned so much from them and my students since beginning teaching here so long ago. I look forward to moving to Greensboro, North Carolina in my retirement and living near my sister and her family. I hope to continue teaching up there.
