has been operating since 2005 and was officially established in 2009.

It has grown vastly in the Irish Music Industry to this day

and is regarded as the people’s music.

The primary aim of this establishment is to help others who need it most, the people who have

nothing. There is so much financial gain in the music industry that is held on to by the greedy, the rich, and

the selfish. We here at 3rd

World Records believe in fairness, equality, and the right to life. We are

committed to generating enough finance to be in a position to distribute aid to some of the poorest parts

of the world. This company was founded on the knowledge of two people’s experiences, and the difference

of challenges they have faced.

As a 21st century record label we understand the dynamics of 

the market place and our approach is multidimensional in order to goall-out in this highly competitive industry. Totally in control from the

early stages of development, production, marketing and ultimately

distribution, we are constantly examining the external and internal

variables of the industry in our quest to commercialize underground

Hip-Hop.

The main objective of the company as the name implies is to

provide the most basic of essentials; water, food, shelter, and education

for the starving kids in Africa so as to help them blossom into self 

sufficient stable human beings with a chance to provide for themselves

and their families. The help and hope, courage and belief are an

essential part of the running of this company.

At present, it appears it is all just about the money for one’s own self. We are aware of this practise,

and feel that this must change to an exceptional standard. We acknowledge the right to be successful,

achieve individual goals and live comfortably in the current world. However, it is the greed and exploitation

that comes after this, we feel must be changed. In our view, there are no rightful grounds for taking much

more than one needs. That extra slice that your greed tells you to take is a small child’s chance at life, a

fathers help in feeding his family. At worst, it is the water that is the root of all foundations in life.

We adhere to the motto “Each One, Teach One” and our contributing employees from the top

to the bottom, are fundamentally driven by this philosophy. To know something and not use it to help

others is wrong, and we take great pride in sharing the knowledge of life with mankind everywhere.

World Records represent numerous artists, musicians, and DJ’s across the Republic of Ireland

and Nigeria. The most successful presently are the styles of Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman. The pair has

become the sound of hope for up and coming artists, and the voice for diversity support in all aspects of 

facilitating an easier way of life.

In the present economic climate, and even before the recession, the Irish and European music scene isbeing dictated by commercial "Pop-Hop" where many creative talents

and skills emerge, yet established figures are afraid to try something

new. People are not acceptable to alternatives, and are happy to just

follow suit with regards to discos, nightclubs, venues, and events. They

seem to not be individualised and must follow the pack.

For over 8 years we have developed a style of music that is the

most popular in the underground scene. It is an Irish and Nigerian

collaboration. The clash of cultures has chemically reacted into some

beautiful exotic new sound, and it is hip-hop like you’ve never heard.

We modernise the rap game, with a twist, and it is completely

one hundred percent original. The genre’s of this music is rap, hip-hop,

and R&B respectfully. Achieved with a combination of live Irish and

African instruments as well as the fundamentals of hip-hop production,

the finished projects by Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman have yet to be

commercialised on a massive scale. With vast growth of popularity, it is

only a matter of time that the inevitable happens.

The achievements by Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman expand

across numerous events, shows, and public exposure. The first

achievement was performing at a show with renowned Reggae artist

Lucky Dube back in 2004 in Limerick City, Rep. of Ireland. The inspiration and wisdom shared by the hugely successful

South African artist contributed to the motivation of the now established 3rd

World Records. Following on from this

moment entailed the duo to return to the studio, and develop a unified sound. This was to be pursued in the South

of Ireland in Cork City.

In 2005, Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman entered

a music competition to expose the public to the works in

progress at that current time. Being broadcast live on

numerous radio stations while performing in front of 

packed crowds and mutual musical audiences, they

excelled their goals. The only band, that did not play live

instruments on the night, that just sang and rapped were

hugely accepted and appreciated, and from a unanimous

decision by the judges, were crowned the champions in

‘The Miller Strat Band of The Year Competition’ 

After earning reputable marks, Teekay Da

Newborn & #Ashman invested into the studio, and were

transcended in writing and producing tracks. From the

winnings of the ‘Miller Strat Band of The Year

Competition’ an E.P. was created with seven tracks on it.

This was mastered and mixed by the infamous producerMr. Art, The Professor. Although never officially released,

500 copies were professionally produced and sold at shows in quick succession. Some were distributed as

promotional giveaways in radio stations across the Republic of Ireland and contributed to a national following of the

two Hip-Hop creators. These tracks were the first step towards the main industry for Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman

and were greatly received with interest across the internet.

With the completion of the E.P. and accomplishing national fans, 3rd World Records was born. The

aim of the music had been defined, so the movement again travelled across the land to Co. Carlow as it was a more

central part of Ireland. At this stage, the calls for show performances were growing, yet there were only mere

payments being offered by club owners and organisers. The financial investment had been stretched and with no

source of income, the growth had stalled.

The pair crossed paths with DJ Dutchi (MTV Base Official

Brand Spanking New Music DJ) and realised new opportunities.

From the knowledge and understandings that DJ Dutchi had, he

 joined forces with 3rd

World Records in their goal. With successful

accomplishments in the industry and links to various labels, DJ

Dutchi has directed and contributed to the current standings of 3rd

 

World Records.

Appearances were still made across the country in the

shape of promotion. Radio and newspaper interviews excelled as

the anticipation grew for the debut album. The duo were

requested to be the special guest performers at ‘The Irish Hip-HopBreak dancing Championships 2008’ From opening for Trevor

Nelson of MTV Base in Dublin the spark was ignited. For musical

showcases, Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman began to appear as

individual artists to boost the promotional reach. Returning to the

studio, the debut album ‘Baby Steps’ was almost complete.

In 2009 Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman decided to

Venture into Ireland’s first ever national talent search. Even though

the target audience was family orientated, it was an opportunity to

get massive exposure at any one time to an average of 750,000

viewers. The pair reached the live Semi-Finals and had performedtwo tracks in their total participation. This incurred more followers

across the Republic of Ireland.

Towards the last quarter of 2009 Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman were nominated in the Meteor Irish Music

Awards for Most Promising New Artist 2010 although were

unaware of it until the voting had almost expired. They

were unable in their attempts to make the final cut.

Currently, 3rd

World Records has moved its

operations to the capital of Ireland, Dublin. With the

finished album being given its sugar-coated topping, a

digital release of a promotional album was introduced.Collaborating with Lammy in Nigeria, ‘Get It Pumpin’ was

launched and is currently available between many

download distributors across the entire world. Along with

it, text download for the single ‘Get It Pumpin’ was

introduced in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The launch of the official website coincided with

the digital download launch late in 2009. Being established

on a marketing basis, and as a true meaning of expressional

music, 3rd

World Records embarks on the believer, the

seeker, and the finder.

The preparations and studies that have been undertaken have resulted in the realisation of a void in the

music industry, a void that needs to be filled. We have what nobody would even think of, an Irish born and bred

rapper unique in all ways, and a Nigerian born and bred multi talented music man. This combination is ready to take

on the world at the front, starting with its own generation.

To date, there are over 50 songs created by these two artists. All which have been developed over a

substantial duration and are at the point of their time to reign supreme. Still continuing forward, there are unlimited

and unexplored grounds for intriguing curiosity. The pace is picking up once again, and the recession shall not be the

demise of meaningful Hip-Hop. 3rd

World Records is carrying the weight, and the burden, for struggling artists in

these difficult circumstances and are determined to succeed in their ambitions.

With divulging into the Irish and European music markets, Nigeria is now the next step. To coincide with the

launch of ‘Baby Steps’ here in the Republic of Ireland and the UK, an African album will be launched in Nigeria, and

other major cities. Its first single is Ele Len Le.

We offer the common man of the public, who is stuck in the rat race and yearning for a fulfilment, a

leadership to follow. The reward from giving is

strong, from helping is honourable, and for equality

is just. No other artist reaches the public as

personally as Teekay Da Newborn & #Ashman. The

interaction with fans by the two is on an unknown

scale. They are of the people, for the people.

In hip-hop, there are no limitations orboundaries for these artists. The music speaks for

itself, and is the voice of the younger generation;

the ones who will have to make the right decisions

and calls of this world soon enough in their life time.

Completely different and exceptional to Hip-

Hop America, relating to the new style is easier than

before. This is 3rd World Republican Hip-Hop. Listen

to know, see to understand, and feel to live.
