introducing hypermedial educational material
At the First-Year Course of Mathematics A of the School of Engineering at the National University of La Plata.
Use of a computer tool for mathematical work.
Understanding three-dimensional mathematical objects.
Familiarization with GeoGebra applets.
Number of devices available, time, and attitudinal aspects.
Focusing on improvement variables + barriers found + work with mobile devices.
Discussion of multiple strategies.
Based on the contents of the original theoretical and practical guide developed by teachers of the course in which the following topics are dealt with: vectors; straight lines in space; and planes. (eXeLearning program)
a) Visualizing three-dimensional-space objects.b) Confirming solutions through the use of GeoGebra applets.c) Acquiring a better understanding of contents in the unit dealt with.
a) The additional time that they had to dedicate to using HEM.b) Diculties to learn the GeoGebra program.c) Shortage of computers.d) Having to bring their own laptops.

Students show a more exploratory attitude than that shown when working with printed material, pencil and paper GeoGebra applets made it possible to test solutions and the Use of multiple strategies taking advantage of dierent previously acquired knowledge items.
