For improvement in back problems For hope, courage and healing for those with cancer For new graduates as they begin a new phase in
their lives For several families facing difficult situations For all those who ask for prayers
For PEACE For the special intentions of each other, our families
and friends In thanksgiving for prayers answered and for those who pray for the needs of others
Thank you
That Wasn’t Rain…….Those were tears of joy from our most Blessed Mother who loved how our young ladies, children and parish honored her on Mother’s Day. On behalf of Father Barry and Deacon Paul, I wish to thank Abigail Lanctot, our May Queen and her honor court of Rachel Santos, Zoe Gorman and Victoria Almeida and Eilee Cameron the crown bearer. A special thank you to all the children who processed and honored their own Mothers and St. Mary. The flowers were exquisite due to the labor and talents of Sylvia Waghelstein and Bob Costa. Thanks to the Music Ministry for their special selection and arrangements of tributes to the Blessed Mother. Nat Squatrito is always available to capture our May Crowning memories. Donations for the flowers came from Irene Head in memory of her wonderful sister Grace Lucier, Margaret Marston in memory of her loving Mother, Mary Ferguson and Mary Ann Allen in loving memory of her Mother, Elizabeth Betres.I also want to thank Ligia Martin, Margaret Marston and Pat Lannan who facilitated the procession of children. Dorothy Backman donated a tiara which will be used each year noting her kindness. To all we say thank you! Mary Ann Allen, Facilitator

Dear Parishioners, Please join us the weekend of May 25, 2019 to hear Rev. Gus Gordon speak at all the services about a ministry providing direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Father Gordon will share personal witness about Food For The Poor’s mission. Fr. Gordon was ordained in 1969 and belongs to the Archdiocese of Castries in St. Lucia. He worked with a hands-on ministry in Alabama and has preached on behalf of Food For The Poor for 21 years. Please join me in welcoming Father Gordon.
COFFEE AND CONVERSATION: Please join us to welcome a special guest on Friday, May 24th. Fr. Joe Healey, an 81 yr. old Maryknoll missionary, will concelebrate with Fr. John at 8am, join our 8:30am Small Christian Community (SCC) meeting, and then participate in a workshop to deepen and share our understand-ing of the Gospel at 9:30. Also, please welcome and invite anyone who might benefit from this wonderful opportunity.
We welcome to our music ministry Gaven Dauplaise as our permanent drummer. Gaven is a wonderful young man from our parish attending Bishop Hendricken high school. He is a talented drummer who understands the drums place in sacred music and in church. We know he’ll add a beautiful depth and fullness to our great music. Catholic Charity Fund Appeal: Congratulations on exceeding our parish goal of $75,000. As of May 13th, you have pledged 84,422 and so far we have 31 fewer donors than last year. If you still want to make a pledge or donation the envelopes are on the back tables in church. Again, thank you for your generosity and compassion - you make a difference!
