3 - The Total Foundation Logotype Gradient Band / Presentation and Protected Area

The gradient band is an integral part of the graphic standards for Total publications and therefore for Total Foundation publications. It is constructed in a specific way to create a consistent look for the Group’s written communications.

The space between the words «Total» and «Foundation» must be equal to the protected areas between:• the top of the gradient band and the top of the logo.• the bottom of the gradient band and the bottom of the logo.

These principles are applicableto bands on streamers, hanging banners, posters, invitations and badges, which are covered by the Graphic Standards for Special Events.


1. The gradient is harmonious, leaving enough white around and under the logotype and gradually fadinginto the picture.

2. The gradient is too short, making it very diffi cultto see the brand block.

3. The gradient is too long, making the band overpowering. As a result, the band loses its momentum.
