Social Network Privacy Models: A systematic Literature Review and Directions for Further Research Abdullah Abdulabbas Nahi Al-Rabeeah1, Mohammed Mahdi Hashim2

1Computer Science Department, Cihan University-Erbil, Iraq, 2Computer Science, Auruk University, Baghdad, Iraq

Privacy is a vital research field for social network sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, where both the number of users and the number of social network applications are sharply growing. Recently, there has been an exponential increase in user-generated text content, mainly in the terms of posts, tweets, reviews, and messages on social network. This increase in textual information introduces many problems related to privacy. privacy is susceptible to personal behavior, due to the shared online data structure of social network sites. Therefore, this study will conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) to identify and discuss the main privacy issues associated with social network, existing privacy models and the limitations and gaps in current research into social network privacy.

Simulation-Based Evaluation of MANET Routing Protocols: AODV, FSR and ZRP Mohamad T. Sultan1, Khaled N. Yasen1, Ali Q. Saeed2

1Computer Science Department, Cihan University-Erbil, Iraq, 2IT Center, Northern Technical University, Iraq

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is an infrastructure-less and decentralized network without any physical connections. In this case nodes become mobile, free to move and independent on each other which makes routing more difficult task. Hence, a dynamic routing protocol is needed to make MANET reliable and function properly. Several routing protocols have been proposed with different working mechanisms and performance levels. Therefore, a performance study of those protocols is needed. This paper evaluates the performance of MANET routing protocols using simulation-based experiments to observe the network behavior as the density of the nodes increases. The paper evaluates the performance of proactive (FSR), reactive (AODV) and hybrid (ZRP) routing protocols in terms of the packet delivery fraction, average throughput, and average end-to-end delay. The Simulations of protocols to analyze their performance in different conditions were performed using the network simulator 2 (NS 2).

Solving Isolated Nodes Issues in ZigBee Pro for Wireless Sensor Networks Alaa Kadhim Farhan1, Nabaa Abdul Khudhur Hasan1

1 Department of computer science, University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq

Wireless sensor network (WSN) based on the ZigBee protocol consists of many sensor devices. In some cases, the sensor nodes may turn to isolated node because random distribution, particularly when creating the network. In this research, two methods are suggested to overcome the isolated node problem. The first method is the capability to distributing the isolated nodes on the router nodes that carries the least number of sensor nodes. It helps to minimize the computational overhead on router nodes too, while the second technique can be performed by calculating the distance between the isolated nodes and the routers then adding these nodes to the nearest routers. Subsequently, this method helps to minimize the energy consumption. The results show our approach as an effective solution to solve the problem of isolated nodes by using these two methods. Eventually, implementing the second method showed a better and effective energy consumption. Additionally, it enables us to maximize the network scale and make it in larger scale.

Designing and Implementing of a Networked Digital Library Alaa B. Baban1, Mustafa S.Qassab2

1 Computer Science, Bayan University, Iraq, 2 Computer Engineering, Mosul University, Iraq

A library may provide contents in various sources and forms to serve their clients. Information and Communication Technology has revolutionized the concept of libraries. Library systems are gradually shifting to be digitized. A 'digital library' comprises digital collections, services and infrastructure to support lifelong learning, research, scholarly communication as well as preservation and conservation of our recorded knowledge. It is also a process of democratization of information. This paper will discuss the factors that will necessitate the traditional libraries to get digitized, as well as the definition, needs, advantages, disadvantages of digital libraries and finally the requirements for building a digital library etc. The emphasis is also to put a description of the role of librarian in the new environment. Greenstone is a suite of software for building and distributing digital library collections. It is not a digital library but a tool for building digital libraries. It provides a new way of organizing information and publishing it on the Internet in the form of a fully-searchable metadata-driven digital library.

The Impact of Initialization Keys on The Security of Symmetric Ciphers in 5G and 4G Generations Khalid Fadhil Jasim1, Imad Fakhri Al-Shaikhli2 1 Department of Computer Science , Cihan University-Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq 2 Department of Computer Science, KICT International Islamic University Malaysia, Malaysia

This research presents analysis and investigation of some symmetric cipher algorithms which have been proposed for the security of 5G and 4G mobile generations. The research starts with overview of various features, standards and services offered by 5G and 4G technologies. Moreover, the design and architecture of some symmetric cipher algorithms (e.g. AES, SNOW 3G, and ZUC) are also analyzed. In this context, the initialization keys, used in encryption and decryption phases, possess crucial role in the security of these ciphers. Also, different components such as mathematical transformations, LFSR registers, finite state machines, substitution boxes as well as IV and secret keys have been discussed. Cryptanalysis attacks which can be applied against these ciphers were investigated. Some weaknesses in the initialization operations, IV key and secret key were pointed out. Therefore, some solutions were proposed to improve the security of these cipher algorithms for 5G and 4G generations.

A Performance Comparison of Difference Between Back-propagation NN and Learning Vector Quantization Algorithm Falah Y.H. Ahmed 1, Jeeva Prasad A/L Manimaran 1, Hassan Fahmi Hassan2

1 Departmnet of Information Science and Computing (ISC)Management and Science University (MSU), Shah Alam, Malaysia. 2Department of Computer Science , Cihan University-Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

Since the security and identification has become a vital part from day to day` biometric security is better and more secure method in replacing old system. From capturing feature, the samples transformed using mathematical function and convert it into biometric pattern and storing the patterns in database and allow comparisons to be made between the templates. It is noticed that recognizing high complex iris patterns is difficult and sometimes the results are less accurate with other approaches. In this paper, two artificial neural network algorithms, Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) and Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) were evaluated and compared for their ability and accuracy to achieve high complex iris recognition using CASIA iris image datasets. The iris recognition for both algorithms BPNN and LVQ are performed by iris localization and iris normalization, and creation of information about iris images through iris pattern identification. Performances and accuracy in both BPNN and LVQ are compared and discussed.

A Multiband Bi-conical Log-Periodic Antenna for Swarm Communications Bessam Z. Al-Jewad1 1 Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, Cihan University-Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

In this paper, we present a specific multiband antenna design that addresses the problem of communication with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). We consider a scenario where multiband single-antenna UAV communicates with the rest of the swarm members that are equipped with similar antennas. The key point in the design is that the communication doesn’t require high or low elevation angles in most of the cases. The suggested design has a sufficient degree of freedom to select the desired features for the field pattern while keeping other features like antenna impedance and gain relatively stable or at least in the acceptable operation region.

AODV Inherent Techniques comparison for detecting and eliminating the black hole attack nodes in MANET Ghassan A. QasMarrogy1, Yazen saifuldeen Mahmood1 1 Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, Cihan University-Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

It’s important to connect wirelessly a group of moving mobile nodes together in a static or dynamic form, to transfer digital data between them, this form known as a mobile ad-hoc network (MANET). This Private network can be used in different essential situations where it depends on each connected mobile node to deliver and pass the data between them, without any fixed access point or router. Unfortunately, there are different types of attacks can affect these nodes and steal or corrupt the data inside. One of these attacks called the black hole attack. In this paper, a comparison study will be performed between two major innovative techniques derived from the AODV routing protocol and to avoid the black hole attack. The delay time was compared in this paper using two techniques; throughput and packet dropping efficacy.

Time Processing of Brain's Electrical Signals using Normalized Constant-Correlation Function to Diagnose Brain Lesions Antoun Elias Francis 1, Fwwaz Hammad Mfadi1

1 Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Damascus University, Damascus, Syria

Researchers are developing methods to extract diagnostic information from brain electrical signals using the Electroencephalogram (EEG) to diagnose brain lesions (malignant tumors, benign tumor, metastasis tumor, abscess). The aim of the study is to introduce a new diagnostic method based on the normalized constant-correlation function between the reference brain signals (Fingerprint) and the wavelet of the person under test. The study showed that the traditional features of the correlation were unable to diagnose the pathological lesions of the brain effectively because of the nonlinearity of these correlations, which are mostly monotonic non linearity. The following cases were analyzed: 1) Two similar cases: Inflammatory abscess spread in the parietal lobe of the left cerebral hemisphere. 2) Two non-identical cases: the first has inflammatory abscess spread over the parietal lobe of the left cerebral hemisphere; and the second is infected with malignant tumor spread on the left hemisphere. 3) Two non-identical cases: the first is a person with metastatic melanoma in the frontal lobe of the cerebral hemisphere; the second is a healthy person. 4) Two identical cases of two healthy persons under the same measurement conditions

Improving the Data Rate of CO-OFDM WDM RoF System over SMF-CDF Asst.Prof.Dr. RaghadZ.Yousif 1, Basud Rasool 1

1 Dep of Applied physics-communication, College of Science, Salahaddin University,Erbil, Iraq

The continuous demand on network traffic has powered the demand for more bandwidth and high data rates. Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology gains its importance because it integrates wireless and optical access networks. Coherent Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing technology (CO-OFDM) is an essential scheme for sending data at high data (speed) rates when it is integrated with Ro. It has the talent to combat many optical fiber limitations like polarization mode dispersion and chromatic dispersion. Furthermore, the addition of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) provides a high bandwidth for the transmission system, data rates, a high spectral efficiency and high capacity needed without augmenting the complexity of the system. This article presents optimum design and investigates the performance of high data rate CO- OFDM integrated along with RoF for long haul transmission between 100km to 450 km with data rate up to 10Gbps.Then by using SMF-DCF with a modulation of 16DPSK and16-QAM.The proposed system has succeeded in achieving high data rate of 55Gbps with a length increased to 6600km. Finally, by the insertion of WDM the maximum attained data rate is 1.65 Tbps with fiber link length of 6600km.

Long Time Stability Investigation for Structural and Magnetic Properties of (Ti doped-Barium Ferrite) Dr. Mohammed A. M. Al Saadi1

1 Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, Cihan University-Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

Barium Hexa Ferrite (BHF) (BaFe12O19) and its substituted derivatives have been considered as the most potential magnetic candidates with considerable chemical stability and physiochemical characteristics. (BHF) with x ferrite ions substituted by Titanium (Ti-doped BTHF) (BaTixFe12-xO19) (x=1 & x=3) were prepared from ferric oxide Fe2O3, barium oxide BaO and Titanium oxide TiO2 of purity greater than 98%. The materials were mixed with de-ionized water and then dried at 1100 oC and at 1200oC overnight. For the formation of BaFe12O19 phase, the mixture was annealed at a rate of 10oC/min in static air atmosphere until reaching (1200oC) and then maintained for 10 hours. Structural properties of these samples were measured by using XRD and SEM, while magnetic properties were measured by using vibrating sample magnetometer VSM device. Magnetic and structural characteristics are investigated after preserving (Ti doped-BHF) samples at room temperature and ambient conditions for twelve years. The samples are characterized using the same previous techniques to find out the possible effect of long period storage on their properties. The results showed that the storage process has little effect on these properties where the granular size increased due to increased oxidation. XRD tests also showed the absence of Ti at low ratios due to increased oxidation of ferrite. VSM results showed increased magnetic properties after storage due to increased iron oxide.
