Event Overview

Dear Colleague,

After the success of the Underground Infrastructure andDeep Foundations UAE conference in December 2014, weare pleased to announce its return for November 2015!

With the UAE projected to spend US$329 billion on construction projects by 2030, it is critical to put in place the best piling and foundation structures to support theseprojects, as well as have the most efficient methodologies to create robust underground infrastructure.

This conference is the ideal learning opportunity to addressthe challenging engineering and design issues relating tounderground infrastructure and deep foundations within theUAE.

What can you expect from the 2015 event?

Etihad Rail’s stage 3 Hajar Mountain case study on understanding the importance of geological engineering assessments Atkins’ historical case studies from the past decade of tunnelling and lessons learnt since the construction of the Dubai Metro WSP|Parsons Brinkerhoff’s exclusive case study on deep excavation from around the Middle East AECOM uncover dewatering solutions to manage high groundwater levels in construction

With huge opportunities for infrastructure projects acrossthe UAE, this conference is the ideal place for existing players and new market entrants to access critical projectintelligence.

I look forward to seeing you in November.

Discovering how to effectively carry out accurate geotechnical investigations

Overview:

Geotechnical investigations are fundamental to the construction project cycle in order to investigate the geological conditions and provide recommendations and design criteria for construction. Many firms in the UAE are not accurately completing geotechnical investigations leading to unforeseen challenges, increased costs and delayed projects. With many big projects being announced in theUAE, it is fundamental for companies to understand how to effectively carry out a geotechnical site investigation.

This exclusive workshop allows you to explore the challenges of developing an accurate geotechnical site investigation and discover exclusive techniques and methodologies to deliver an accurate geotechnical report.

Analysing how to overcome challenges of deep foundations for high rise buildings withinthe UAE Overview:

The UAE has seen a drastic increase in the rate of construction of high-rise buildings. For example, Dubai is home to the tallest buildingin the world, the Burj Khalifa. With many high rise projects being planned in the UAE is it essential that designers and contractors understand how to effectively develop robust deep foundations to support high-rise structures.

This interactive workshop allows you to explore the challenges that arise when developing deep foundations and provides an exclusiveinsight into innovative techniques and methodologies to develop sufficient deep foundations whilst at the same time reducing cost andrisk.
