1stThe Dubai International Aquatic Championships willbe the first international aquatics tournament forinternational clubs worldwide. This landmarktournament will unite children and adults from 10 yearsof age onwards in the disciplines of Open WaterSwimming, Swimming and Water Polo.

In order to register your interest in the tournament,please kindly complete Form A (as attached).Accordingly we will provide you with periodic updatesregarding each event and the overall tournament.

Event TargetsTo increase participation in Swimming, Open Water

Swimming and Water Polo throughout the UAE.To provide potential athletes in the UAE the

experience to compete in their discipline at aninternational level of competition.To unite individuals within the UAE (local and

expatriate) through sport as one aquatic family.To teach children that “IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE”and that everyone has the opportunity to become alegend like Michael Phelps or Alexander Popov.

2nd Dubai International Water Polo Junior Championships

Rules & Regulations

6 players (5 + goalkeeper) in the water and 9 substitutes. They may ONLY be male players

Teams with a minimum of 9 players are also accepted

Games will be 2 periods of 12 minutes with a 3-minute interval between each period

Time is continuous. The time clock will be stopped after each goal only during semi-final and final matches.Coaches may ask for one time-out per each period

The team in possession of the ball has no limit of 30 seconds

The referee may change ball possession when there is an evident loss of time

A player with 4 major fouls cannot re-enter the game

An excluded player can re-enter the field of play after entering (emerging clearly with the head) and getting outfrom the re-entry area close to his team bench. Another player of the same team can replace him entering fromthe re-entry area only after that the excluded player has entered in it (emerging clearly with the head)

Only for tournaments of aged 2003 and younger player can receive the ball with two hands but he must throw itwith one hand only.

Zone play is not allowed

After a foul the player can not shoot directly to the goalpost

Individual Races

Each Team is allowed an unlimited number of athletes but only the best 3 per event/per age group will be allocatedpoints,Each Team’s swimmers may only participate in one Age Group category,Each Team may only enter 2 teams per relay

Relay Races

Relays Companies/SponsorsEach Company must have 2 men + 1 women for the relay,Each Company may invite one professional swimmer from a UAE Swimming Club between 14-16 years of age toswim for their relay team

International Swimming ClubsEach Club must have 2 men + 1 woman for each age group of the relay,Each Team’s swimmers may participate only in 1 relay and only for 1 age group,Each Club may enter 2 teams per relay/per age group but only 1 team will be awarded points

Local ClubsEach Club must have 3 men for each age group of the relayEach Team’s swimmers may participate only in 1 relay and only for 1 age group,Each Club may enter 2 teams per relay/per age group but only 1 team will be awarded points

An Age Group Cup will be presented to the team that scores the highest number of gold medalsaccording to the final official result as approved by the Organizing CommitteeIt will also apply to the 2nd and 3rd positionsAn Overall Cup will be presented to the club that has the highest number of gold medals in allcompetition racesEach swimmers should be confirmed by the UAE Swimming Federation and should provide his/heraccreditation to the Referee before each raceIn order to compete, each participant must sign a declaration that he/she bears sole responsibility for
