Technologies, Authentication and Channel Establishment

2ip’s 2STON provides a light-weight secure communication module applicable to any type of communication

environment (WiFi, LTE, 3G, etc.)

An IoT device on the 2STON goes through

1) Client Authentication

A Client is assigned a public Key and an SSN

(Secure Serial Number) at initial login.

The public key is used for session connection afterwards.

2) Channel establishment and Security Level Agreement

Client#1 sends a channel open request to a session server with a target client and security level information.

3) Cross-certification between Clients

Session server establishes a P2P secure channel between clients and stores related information.

4) Secure channel and Management

Each client communicates through the secure P2P channel. The session server monitors for a client’s status and maintains session between clients.
