• Turned the National Socialist German Worker’s Party into the Nazi party.

• Used anger from the Treaty of Versailles to gain support.

• Becomes dictator of Germany, turns them into a fascists state.

• Scapegoats = Jews blamed for all of Germany’s misfortune - rounded up and put into concentration camps.

• They were taken over by General Hideki Tojo

• Racial Superiority

• Started a war with China - Took over Manchuria and called it Manchukuo. The U.S. refused to recognize this.

• Neutrality Act - banned arms sales or loans to countries at war.

• Good Neighbor Policy - He got rid of the Roosevelt Corollary (Teddy) - Got rid of the Platt Amendment which limited Cuban independence - Removed troops from Nicaragua and Haiti – FDR tried to repair relationships with Latin America.
