Baptisms: Arrangements must be made by parents through the Rectory Office to schedule baptisms and arrange for Pre-Baptism classes. All parents expecting to baptize their first child are to attend Pre-Baptism classes.

Weddings: Arrangements should be made with a priest through the Rectory Office at least six months prior to the desired date. All couples must attend Pre-Cana classes which are normally scheduled in March.

Святі таінства і молитва Боже Слово є основою християнського життя, а иого джерелом і водночас вершиною –Пресвята

Євхаристія. Зібрана на Божественніи Літургіі парафіяльна громада єднається зі своім невидимим

Головою – Христом, і з усіма святими ангелами, творячи в такии спосіб таінственне єднання неба

и землі, дочасності и вічності. Служба Божа, яку законно поставлении священик служить у єдності

та від імені свого єпископа, є також часом будування Церкви – Тіла Христового, Головою якого є

сам Господь. Немає ціннішого моменту в нашому земному житті, як Служба Божа. Тому свята

неділя, день Господніи, має бути в пошані кожного християнина, а участь у Святіи Літургіі

повинна вважатися не обов’язком, що иого мусимо виконати з наказу Церкви, натомість

прииняттям дару від самого нашого Господа, якии прагне зустрітися з нами, щоб наповнити нас

своєю благодаттю і любов’ю. «Не можемо жити без неділі!» – заявляли християни перших століть

і радше ишли на мученицьку смерть, ніж погоджувалися під тиском поган працювати в неділю. Це

гасло мусимо зробити своім і ми, християни ХХІ століття, та наполегливо оберігати святість і

недоторканність дня Господнього.

Члени живоі парафіі беруть живу участь у Святих Таінствах, регулярно, по змозі навіть щодня,

збираються на Богослужіння, щоб прославити Небесного Отця, щоби часто сповідатися і приимати

Святе Причастя. У живіи парафіі спільноти поєднують свою діяльність з молитвою, черпаючи з

неісилу і натхнення. Не менш важливою є також наша приватна молитва – особиста і родинна, яка

слугує продовженням церковноі літургіиноі молитви. Наші парафіі, а в них наші сім’і мають знову

стати школою молитви для всіх вірних.

LITURGY AND PRAYER Participation in the liturgical, the sacramental,

and prayer life of the holy people of God.

From the Pastoral letter of His Beatitude Sviatolav

The Word of God is the foundation of Christian life, while the Holy Eucharist is its source and at the same

time its culmination. Gathered at the Divine Liturgy, the parish community unites with its invisible head,

Christ, and with all the saints and angels, thus enacting a mystical union between heaven and earth, between

time and eternity. The Divine Liturgy, which a duly appointed priest celebrates in unity with and on behalf of

his bishop, is also a time of building up the Church, the body of Christ, which has our Lord as its Head. There

is no moment more precious in our earthly life than the Divine Liturgy. That is why Sunday, the holy Day of

our Lord, should be honored by every Christian, and participation in the Divine Liturgy should be considered

not as an obligation imposed by the Church, which requires our obedience, but it should be received as a gift

from our Lord, who longs to encounter us, in order to fill us with His grace and love. “We cannot live without

Sunday!” was the motto of the early Christians of the first centuries, and they preferred a martyr’s death to

agreeing under pressure from the pagans to work on Sunday. This motto we Christians of the 21st century

must make our own, and we should persistently guard the holiness and inviolability of the Lord’s Day.

Members of a vibrant parish also actively participate in the Holy Mysteries (Sacraments). Regularly, if

possible even daily, they gather for the services in praise of our Heavenly Father. They frequently go to

Confession and receive Holy Communion. In a vibrant parish church organizations combine their activities

with common prayer, finding in it their strength and inspiration. No less important is our private prayer -

personal and family prayer - which extends and continues our liturgical prayer in the Church. Our parishes,

and in them our families, must again become a school of prayer for all of our faithful.

Після свята Богоявління отець Богдан відвідує

ваші домівки з Йорданською водою. Це нагода краще

пізнати парафіян. Ви можете безпосередньо запросити

отця або заповнити картку – запрошення, що

знаходиться в бюлетені і кинути на недільну тацу або

залишити в вестибюлі на столі.

‘Хто вас приймає, Мене приймає” (Мт 10,40) — сказав

Ісус до Апостолів. Наказав також: «Коли до якого дому

ввійдете, спочатку кажіть: Мир дому цьому! Якщо там

живе людина гідна миру, ваш мир залишиться на

ньому» (Лука 10,5-6).

Прихід священика з душпастирськими відвідинами є

актом публічного визнання віри, а рівно ж знаком єдності

та живого зв'язку домашньоі Церкви з Церквою

парафіяльною, а тим самим єпархіальною та

вселенською.

СХОДИНИ ЧОЛОВІЧОГО КЛУБУ

У понеділок 14 - го січня в 7-ій годині вечора Чоловічий

Клуб проведе засідання. Запрошуємо чоловіків з нашоі

парафіі поповнювати ряди Чоловічого Клубу. Завдання

Клубу є плекати дух братерськоі любові між собою, а

також допомогати парафіі в різних потребах.

World Marriage Day takes place on February 10, 2019.

It is an observance sponsored by the Catholic Marriage

Encounter movement observed on the second Sunday of

February each year. “World Marriage Day honors

husband and wife as the foundation of the family, the

basic unit of society. It salutes the beauty of their faithfulness,

sacrifice and joy in daily married life.”

Bishop Bohdan Danylo in conjunction with the Department of

Family Life of the Eparchy of St. Josaphat would like to

recognize and honor the couples of our parish who are

celebrating 10, 25, 40, 50 or 60 years of marriage in 2019.
