About ReclaimRECLAIM’s mission is to increase access to mental health support for queer and trans youth so they might reclaim their lives from oppression in all of its forms.
At RECLAIM, we provide financially and culturally accessible care to queer and trans youth and their families, train practitioners, and partner in community at the intersection of gender and racial justice.

Greetings, dear community!
We’ve been working diligently with Saltzman & Molho Consulting for the last year on the strategic plan for guiding RECLAIM’s work for the next 3 to 5 years. This groundbreaking work was informed by focus groups and individual interviews with our key stakeholders, including youth and families, alumni, staff and board members, community partners, and leaders within the black, indigenous and people of color movement. Now the moment has arrived; the board-approved strategic direction points the way to building a sustainable leadership model, supporting staff development, shoring up our operations and finance, and bolstering programming. Some shifts are already underway, including longtime staff Maryrose Dolezal joining Dr. Felicia Washington Sy in co-executive leadership. RECLAIM is poised and ready to build the scaffolding that will support our work for years to come.
This announcement comes in tandem with RECLAIM’s Tenth Anniversary. In 2009, RECLAIM became among the first in the region to offer culturally responsive mental health support to queer and trans youth regardless of ability to pay. We invite you to participate in celebrating a decade-long successful commitment to meeting the mental health needs of queer and trans youth in our community. We continue to be a values-driven organization that believes in the transformation of systems large and small, in hopes that the need for our services may one day become obsolete. As always, we cannot do the work without you! The volunteer hours, gifts, donations, and words of encouragement are an indispensable aspect of the work that keeps us motivated and inspired to continue providing opportunities for healing and transformation!

Project CLEAR (Consent Leads to Empowered and Affirming Relationships)
Two years ago, the Department of Justice through the Office on Violence Against Women awarded RECLAIM with a $750,000 grant to fund a collaboration with St. Paul Public Schools, The Sexual Violence Center, and Ramsey County SOS to prevent and intervene around sexual violence among St. Paul queer and trans young people. Now in its second year, Project CLEAR has recruited 41 peer educators who have trained 750+ youth on consent, boundaries, and healthy relationships. Furthermore, Project CLEAR provides individual, group, and family therapy at RECLAIM and support groups for queer and trans students in Saint Paul Public Schools. Perhaps our work is best summed up in a quote from a young person involved in Project CLEAR who stated “Before, I felt scared all the time. Now, I feel powerful all the time.”

Minnesota United FC became the first professional sports team in the U.S. to sign the Athlete Ally pledge of support for the LGBTQ+ commu-nity in 2014. For their annual Pride Game in June, MNUFC donated a section of seats to our clients, volun-teers, and staff. The special Pride-edi-
tion jerseys worn for the game were auctioned off with proceeds going to RECLAIM. We are so grateful to MNUFC and The Dark Glitterati, the LGBTQ+ fans group, who collectively pledged and donated over $286 for every goal scored in June!

Faith United Methodist Church (St. Anthony)Faith UMC has been RECLAIM’s longest standing faith community partner since our founding in 2009. As a Reconciling and Altar for All congregation, Faith is committed to embracing and supporting the trans, queer, and LGB+ community. Faith UMC sup-ports queer and trans youth at RECLAIM through an annual flower sale, sponsorship of Celebrate the Love, consistent volunteering, and through collaborative projects. Recent projects include hosting a sermon with trans elder and author Trancender Lee and organizing Faith Forums on gender and faith. Thank you, Faith UMC!

Minnesota United FC became the first professional sports team in the U.S. to sign the Athlete Ally pledge of support for the LGBTQ+ commu-nity in 2014. For their annual Pride Game in June, MNUFC donated a section of seats to our clients, volun-teers, and staff. The special Pride-edi-
tion jerseys worn for the game were auctioned off with proceeds going to RECLAIM. We are so grateful to MNUFC and The Dark Glitterati, the LGBTQ+ fans group, who collectively pledged and donated over $286 for every goal scored in June!

Faith UMC sup-ports queer and trans youth at RECLAIM through an annual flower sale, sponsorship of Celebrate the Love, consistent volunteering, and through collaborative projects. About ReclaimRECLAIM’s mission is to increase access to mental health support for queer and trans youth so they might reclaim their lives from oppression in all of its forms.
At RECLAIM, we provide financially and culturally accessible care to queer and trans youth and their families, train practitioners, and partner in community at the intersection of gender and racial justice.

Greetings, dear community!
We’ve been working diligently with Saltzman & Molho Consulting for the last year on the strategic plan for guiding RECLAIM’s work for the next 3 to 5 years. This groundbreaking work was informed by focus groups and individual interviews with our key stakeholders, including youth and families, alumni, staff and board members, community partners, and leaders within the black, indigenous and people of color movement. Now the moment has arrived; the board-approved strategic direction points the way to building a sustainable leadership model, supporting staff development, shoring up our operations and finance, and bolstering programming. Some shifts are already underway, including longtime staff Maryrose Dolezal joining Dr. Felicia Washington Sy in co-executive leadership. RECLAIM is poised and ready to build the scaffolding that will support our work for years to come.
This announcement comes in tandem with RECLAIM’s Tenth Anniversary. In 2009, RECLAIM became among the first in the region to offer culturally responsive mental health support to queer and trans youth regardless of ability to pay. We invite you to participate in celebrating a decade-long successful commitment to meeting the mental health needs of queer and trans youth in our community. We continue to be a values-driven organization that believes in the transformation of systems large and small, in hopes that the need for our services may one day become obsolete. As always, we cannot do the work without you! The volunteer hours, gifts, donations, and words of encouragement are an indispensable aspect of the work that keeps us motivated and inspired to continue providing opportunities for healing and transformation!

Project CLEAR (Consent Leads to Empowered and Affirming Relationships)
Two years ago, the Department of Justice through the Office on Violence Against Women awarded RECLAIM with a $750,000 grant to fund a collaboration with St. Paul Public Schools, The Sexual Violence Center, and Ramsey County SOS to prevent and intervene around sexual violence among St. Paul queer and trans young people. Now in its second year, Project CLEAR has recruited 41 peer educators who have trained 750+ youth on consent, boundaries, and healthy relationships. Furthermore, Project CLEAR provides individual, group, and family therapy at RECLAIM and support groups for queer and trans students in Saint Paul Public Schools. Perhaps our work is best summed up in a quote from a young person involved in Project CLEAR who stated “Before, I felt scared all the time. Now, I feel powerful all the time.”
