Therapists have been working for more than 20 years on developing opportunities for successful provision of occupational therapy services in Croatia. This small group of concerned professionals have taken the role of not only the therapist but also negotiators, diplomats, change initiators, politicians, researchers, teachers, leaders, analysts, beacons and so much more. I think we have done a good job. Of course, we would not succeed so much if we didn't have support and help from the international occupational therapy community. This support has enabled us to be strong when we were weak—it reminded us that professionals make a mess but need to clean the house. It reminded us that we need to grow to ensure change, which we need to motivate ourselves to do what we do best and of course—it reminded us to laugh when the storms pass. We would not be where we are today, competent, strong and resourceful—opinion makers for today and change makers of the future.

Finally, please join us for three days in sharing experience and making our community as it should be—a world which is occupationally available for all.

Saša Radić President Croatian Occupational Therapy Association

Dear guests, participants of the 23rd ENOTHE Annual Meeting 2017,

First of all, I am very pleased that the Croatian Association of Occupational Therapists received the opportunity to be the hosts of the 23rd ENOTHE Annual Meeting 2017. We, as the Association grasped this adventure with a vision that the European platform of educators, students and practitioners can encourage occupational therapy practice and education in Croatia. We hope that hosting this important educational event has a potential to transform our challenges into opportunities to grow.

Occupational therapists are a relatively small community in Croatia, but very dedicated to the profession. Margaret Mead has stated a long time ago that we need never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change the world. Members of the Croatian Association of Occupational
