    meaningsandevenemotions.

    Wedonotattempttoduplicatenature,asthiswouldbeimpossible. Insteadwemimicnature

    andusenaturalformsasinspirationforourworks. Theworldofplantsseemschaoticand

    byprotestorsoutsidethemeetingswas

    biodegradableautoparts. Thischantmademe

    smile,becauseIveoftenthoughtofmakingan

    automobilefromMakigami.

    AMakigamiautomobilewouldbelight,durable,and

    biodegradable,makingittheultimategreen

    machine.However

    because

    Makigami

    uses

    moisture

    asacatalystforbiodegradation,usingthismaterial

    forautomotiveproductionisprobablynotagood

    idea. Biodegradationofsomethinglikeacarmade

    fromMakigamiandexposedtotheelementsis

    unpredictable. Anintensiveautopartrecycling

    initiativemightbemoreappropriate.

    VaryingNewsprintWeights

    Mostnewspapersusethesameweightofpaperfortheirentirepublication. Recently,

    somenewspapersstartedmixingweights. Forexample,pagesprintedinblackandwhite

    willbeaheavierweightthanthoseprintedincolor. Iassumetheyredoingthistosave

    parasites. Becausetheyhavenarrowstems,theyare

    growingthickerstemstheyclimbtreesbycoiling
