The Oakville HEAT girls’ U10 soccer team travelled to Georgetown on the July 15th-16th to participate in the Georgetown 7 v 7 Tournament. In the preliminary round of play, the HEAT managed to finish first in their group. They returned on Sunday and defeated Burlington 1-0 in regular time. The final game was against Waterloo Flames. Oakville had many scoring opportunities but seemed to just miss the mark. Congratulations to the girls for finishing second out of a field of 14 teams, particularly in such extreme heat. The Oakville Hawks Peewee 2 lacrosse team had a 5-2 championship victory over Orangeville. Oakville overpowered their opponents by going undefeated at the July 7-9 Niagara Thunderhawks 2006 Tournament. Goalie Ben Neeb made some unforgettable saves throughout which earned him the MVP of the tournament. The champs are Ben Neeb, Tyler Adams, Nolan Apers, Greg Campbell, Nick Crepinsek, Foster Cuomo, Brandon Gironda, Jackson Hulbert, Austin Kosack, Justin Martin, Rhys Maguire, Adriano Morgani, Eoin Salerno, Jim Shea, Patrick Shea, Conner Stack, Dale Stevens and Chris Young. The Coaching staff consists of Tony Crepinsek, Frank Shea, James Apers, John Salerno, and Tony Morgani. The girls played in the U14 Girls White Division.They were Tournament Finalists, League Champions, and League Cup Champions.
