NOTE: That would mean if wine is a symbol of teachings,doctrines, then wine of fornication that makes drunkis doctrine that confuses the mind. So basically whatthe text says is that, a church, an apostate church, is incontrol of issues; the kings of the world have relations withthis apostate church; and they are drunk, they cannotunderstand, because they have absorbed these doctrines

which are contrary to the Bible because they are doctrinesof prostitution.

4.What did John see when he was carried into the wilderness?

Revelation 17:3, So he carried me away in the spirit intothe wilderness: and I saw a woman ___ upon a scarletcoloured ______, full of names of blasphemy, having seven

heads and ten horns.

NOTE: So it is a blasphemous power, and we saw whatthat meant when we looked at Revelation chapter 13 andthe Bible gives us clues by showing that to say that you arein the place of God, that you are God on earth, that youcan forgive sins, that you can take that which applies to

Christ, and apply it to yourself, thats blasphemy. And wesaw that the Roman church had actually done that. So thiswoman sitting on this scarlet beast, full of the names ofblasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And that

of course again is the symbol that we had in Revelationchapter 13. If you count the count the heads that we havein all the beasts of Daniel chapter 7, you will find that thereare 7 heads there as well. Because the first beast obviouslyhas one head over there which represents Babylon. Medo-Persia has one head, Greece is represented having fourheads, and then one head of the final beast in Danielchapter 7 adds up to seven heads.

5.What is this whore decked with?

Revelation 17:4, And the woman was arrayed in ______and ______ colour, and decked with ______ and precious________ and _______, having a golden cup in her handfull of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

NOTE: And the purple, and the scarlet colors, and the

gold and the precious stones, Rome is the richest churchinstitution in the entire world. The treasures that are in theVatican museum boggle the mind, it is unbelievable. Andthis golden cup there are all these abominations of her falseteachings.

6.What is written on the forehead of this woman?

Revelation 17:5, And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE __________OF ____________ AND ___________ OF THE EARTH.

NOTE: We see that she is called MYSTERY, now somethingthat is a mysterious or mystery is something that works

behind the scenes that is secret. And she is the mother,mysteriously so, of all the other harlots as well. Does shecontrol all the churches in the world that are apostatetowards God? Is that a possibility here? Well we havent

looked into that issue in great detail yet, but well come tothat in another lecture. Revelation 17:5, the old Babylonianreligion, and the old bull cult; all of these, these ancientreligions, we will find all these aspects in Rome.

Grattan Guinness says, While the Caesars held imperialpower, it was impossible for the predicted antichrist toarise On the fall of the Caesars he would arise. Whilethe Caesars held imperial power, it was impossible for thepredicted antichrist to arise On the fall of the Caesars he

would arise Romanism and the Reformation.

Paul did not identify the restraining power which theyknew to be Rome, for fear of reprisals. Remember theChristian Church was under persecution by Rome. (Dr.Ron Thompson, Champions of Christianity in search of theTruth, p. 47 (1996).

NOTE: So, Paul wrote them an epistle and he said, What

I told you personally you know what it is, that must firsthappen, so dont go teaching all kinds of doctrines, were

waiting for the falling away, the man of sin the obstacleto be taken away the man of sin will arise and then he

will rule on this earth. And then only, eventually, will Christcome, and he will consume this power when he returns.Thats the Biblical version.

they did to Gods people unbelievable. They slaughteredthem left right and center. The Inquisition, Thomas Aquinassaid, the convicted heretics should be put to death just assurely as other criminals.

The Catholic Church is a respecter of conscience and ofliberty Nevertheless, when confronted by heresy, she

has recourse to force, to corporal punishment, to torture.. She lit in Italy the funeral piles of the Inquisition(Catholic professor Alfred Baudrillart The Catholic Church,renaissance, and Protestantism, pp. 182, 183).

NOTE: Historically speaking and sad to say, this is the onlysystem that can qualify.

NOTE: This apostate system that has gone against theplain teachings of the Word of God, will ultimately meet itsdemise. And God will have made plain the warnings of His

word by this time, and many people will have made theirdecision to come out of this religious confusion.
