To prepare for the academic year,the NCPAG Student Council
conducts a comprehensive year
planning.

In a 3-day planning, members of the StudentCouncil conducted a SWOT analysis, VMG,Calendaring and tasking. Major output of the
planning was the NCPAG SG General Planand the Student Councils Internal Guidelines.
2 Forming BondsA policy proposal to give a blockto the NCPAG BA (PA) Freshmen May 2012
The Legislative Council consulted CPAGE andfound out that the policy was feasible. The
OUR has the final say in making blocksections. Since the BA (PA) freshmen had a
small number of students, they were not givena full block, instead, they were blocked in a
Comm3 class.
3 ForKNOWgraphySeries
An information material to help indisseminating information to the
students. Usually comes in agraphic/poster form. May 2012
A forKNOWgraphy on the Student Regentselection was released on May. The
forKNOWgraphy contained the nominees forSR, their CVs and plans of action. This was
released online. (via Facebook)
4 New Students TourA UP and NCPAG Tour for the
new students of NCPAG.9 June 2012UP Campus
A number of BA (PA) freshmen, shiftees andtransferees attended the tour. Members of theLeague of NCPAG Organizations were very
supportive and joined the tour.

Orientation
An annual orientation for the NewStudents in NCPAG Freshmen,
Shiftees and transferees

Around fifty (50) new students attendedPAkilala. The event was a mix of orientation
and getting to know you activities. It wassupported by CPAGE and the NCPAG
organizations which sponsored the food anddrinks of the event. The students also receiveda survival kit/handbook from the NCPAG SC.

The respective batch assemblies convenedfor at least (2) times this semester. The firstbatch assemblies were conducted for theelection of batch officers. The succeeding
batch assemblies were convened by the batchofficers and the NCPAG SC to discuss
pertinent issues.

GeneralAssembly
As stipulated in Article 6(Meetings), Sections 1 and 2, aGeneral Assembly (GA) of theNCPAG constituents should be
convened not later than 15 schooldays after the opening of classesin a semester. Therefore, 2 GAswill automatically be conducted, 1
for every start of a semester.

Two sessions of the GA were conducted. TheNCPAG Student Governments Vision Mission
and Goals were discussed as well as thestructure of the SG. The members of the
Student Council were also introduced. TheGeneral Plan for the year was also tackled.
The GA highlighted the importance of

9Forum on Gender
PoliciesIn celebration of UP Pride Week,this forum discussed the Gender
policies in schools

A well-attended forum, the Gender Policiesdiscussed the importance of gender equality
and upholding it at the school setting.

An international conference withthe theme of Tradition and
Transformation.

The Student Government provided technicaland staff support to the conference. The
Singing Administrators also performed andsang the National Anthem and the invocation.

PAgbaba60: A Runfor Good
Governance
A fun run organized by the NCPAGCommunity, spearheaded by the NCPAG
Alumni Association and the NCPAGStudent Government to celebrate the
colleges 60th
anniversary while promotingthe principles of good governance. Thisrun also served as a call to all aspiring
candidates for the 2013 midterm electionsto practice good governance.

Oval
At least a thousand people supported and attendedthe run for good governance. Members of the
NCPAG Community, trooped to the UP AcademicOval. The Department of Environmental and
Natural Resources sent the biggest delegation ofrunners. Proceeds of the event went to SynergeiaFoundation and the NCPAG Student Government.

Training
Leadership training for the UPVarsity Teams in partnership withthe League of Varsity Leaders in
UP (LVL UP).

14 Street Painting
The NCPAG student organizationspaint their logos and/or
advocacies along RP de GuzmanStreet college pride, in the
streets and in our deeds.
Last week ofJuly 2012
Due to other more pressing concerns, thestreet painting project was shelved and
rescheduled. The project was approved byDean Edna Co and the LNO are willing to
continue to project this 2nd semester.
15 Organizations ofthe Week
Showcasing the four NCPAG-based organizations. This is
NCPAGs version of an org fair.Whole month of
July 2012
Three of the four NCPAG organizationsconducted an exhibit at the NPCAG Inner
Lobby. UP STPA had an Xbox Kinect Activity,UP Circa had their grand applicants
orientation and UP Pagdumala held a grandpakain.

A well-attended event, the NCPAG studentsindeed came well-dressed, both dashing anddazzling in their prom-inspired attires.
17 Diamond Idol
A talent competition for theNCPAG Community. The winner
is crowned as the NCPAGDiamond Idol.

8 competitors showcased their talents for theNCPAG Diamond Idol. Talents ranged from
solo singing, group dancing and acting.Franco Oliva, a senior BA(PA) student was
crowned the Diamond Idol.

suspension of classes due to the rains caused

Part of the diamond anniversarycelebration by bringing in Milk Tea
concessionaires in the college.Whole month of

Due to the weeklong suspension of classesand the special elections, the NCPAG at
sixTEA was rescheduled to November 2012.

Review
A substantive review of theNCPAG SG Constitution for
possible amendments orrevisions.

A review committee was formed but was notfollowed through. Will be taken up in the
second semester.

The NCPAG SG through the efforts of theFreshmen Officers was able to raise money to
buy twenty-five (25) slippers.

A forum on the pending FOI Billhighlighting its importance in the
pursuit of good governance.

Resource Speakers from Congress, Academeand the Civil sector discussed the status of theFOI bill and what steps can be done to press
Congress into passing the bill.
BA (PA) students from NCPAG and other PASchools participated in the discussion.This forum was sponsored by San Miguel
Corporation.
25 Special Elections Special elections for the InternalAffairs and Finance Administrator
position.
15 August 2012
The special election was originally scheduledfor July. It was held to fill the positions ofinternal affairs administrator and financeadministrator. This was done through the
petition filed by the NCPAG SC to the CSEB.The special election was well publicized.
The elections was also electronically
conducted, thanks to UP Halalan.
26New Students
Ultimate BondingExperience
Acknowledging that majority of theundergraduate population are new
students, this aims to promotesolidarity among the New
Students and help them developroots in the College.

were highlighted as an important tool inpromoting peaceful, clean and meaningful
elections in ARMM.
