21 APRIL 2016
Pass it on… ADVISORY: AIE 2+ UPDATE The Fort Carson AIE2+ upgrades are moving forward and are anticipated to be completed around May 21. The initial roll out of the system at the installation gates and Visitor Control Center is currently scheduled for May 23. At that time the Directorate of Emergency Services/Security and Access Control Division will begin issuing the new Installation Access Control Cards and Passes that are capable of being scanned at the gates to non-DOD ID card holders. DOD ID card holders who did not get registered in January will be able to register their ID cards into the system at any of the gates or at the Visitor Control Center (building 6012) as of May 23. Non-DOD ID Card holders who have been approved for an extended pass and were issued a temporary pass, may bring their original approved FC Form 2036-E and their temporary pass in between May 23 and June 30 to receive their access card. Those who are not in possession of a temporary pass will need to have a new FC Form 2036-E signed by the government representative. PURPLE HEART RUN The Purple Heart Run will be at the Fort Carson Exchange May 10 from noon to 4 p.m. The event will feature Southern Colorado combat-wounded veterans from World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq and Afghanistan as well as several veterans’ service organizations to speak about this year’s Purple Heart Run Focus, “Mobility is Freedom.”
