Dear Families
Return to Normality – well of sorts!
Tuesday was an exciting day as we welcomed back our Year 3 to 6 students. Our middle and senior school teachers have been working hard continuing remote learning and preparing their classrooms in readiness for the 9
th June date, which marked our whole school return to onsite
learning. We have acquired some great new learning during the remote period but we are all so pleased to be back at school and doing what we all do best. Our Prep – Year 2 students continue to approach their schooling with engagement and persistence and I know that our Year 3 – 6 students have been eagerly awaiting this time back with their teachers and friends.
Please know that your children are amazing! We know that for some children, anxiety about
leaving home and being at school can sometimes get the better of them. As a parent, this can be
heartbreaking and your natural instinct is to be with them, to comfort them. However, what
appears to work best for most is a quick kiss and hug, and then walk away. Thank you again for
working hard with us to ensure a smooth transition back to onsite learning.
A huge shout out to everyone who have greeted staff at our gates each morning and afternoon
with a smile and friendly welcome. It is super important that you continue to drop off and pick up
at the correct gate in the attached map. If you have made arrangements for children to meet you
somewhere else, please ensure that you have communicated this to the relevant teachers. A
reminder that it is never appropriate to swear or be disrespectful to staff who are only trying to
keep our community safe and do their job.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Next week we will continue to utilise every possible entry/exit point around our school. However,
we will no longer be staggering our start and finish times, as we have noted through this
transition that we have not had adults congregating at these times. We are looking forward to all
children arriving as normal and finishing as normal from Monday. As per the
arrangements before remote learning, children will be marked as late if they arrive after 8.55am
and will need to obtain a late pass from the office.
Please support this process by moving on once you have said hello/goodbye to your child.

Badge Ceremony – finally!
It was our hope that we would be able to have a big celebration assembly to present our students leaders with their 2020 bade. Given we still have restrictions in place, we are going to do this presentation remotely via video. This will be sent out to all families with our Friday assembly video. Please find attached the names of our 2020 student leaders.

The teachers and office staff would like to request that
parents/guardians pack a full set of spare uniform items in
their child’s bag for them to change into if they suffer a
small accident or muddy mishap at school.
We have a very limited amount of spare clothing available for students
to change into so if you have any spare unwanted uniform items that
your child has outgrown or no longer needs we would greatly appreciate
a donation to our dwindling supply of ‘sick bay’ clothing.
Additionally, if your child has recently needed to borrow items
from our sick bay can you please wash and return them
to the office as soon as possible.
